I copied those 3 kexts from my Sierra installation to /L/E, than repaired kext cache and still nothing

I have similar problem. My webcam and left USB (combined with e-sata) doesn't work. When I had Sierra webcam and left usb has working. I tried to add to EFI volume to /Clover/kexts/other EAPDfix.kext but nothing. I also replaced in /EFI/Clover/kexts/other FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext but nothing. any help?

it looks like that wifi modul is broken somehow. I tried put it to another dell with windows and the symptoms are same. I can install wifi driver but that's all, wifi manager can see anything . So the best solution will be to buy different modul DW1510 for instance.

I test once more to boot to ubuntu and wifi has the same issue. I can see the that wifi is active, but can't see any ssid. Maybe it is not compatible hardware.

Of course. I tried to boot to linux LIVE USB and wifi was working. I've also tried wifi modul DW1510 from my another e6230 with Sierra and wifi was working so antenas should be Ok. Btw i forgot that it's not el Capitan but Sierra instalation.

I copied DSDT to Extra folder which you sent me. Than I also remove AirPortAtheros40.kext from /L/E and /E/E. Replaced IO80211Family.kext in /S/L/E by another one from other Sierra installation on the same dell model but with different WiFi modul. Than repaired kext: sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E* sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U / restart PC but wifi still can't find any available SSID's only ethernet is working

how can I do this DSDT patch? I understand that I need to add code from that post to DSDT but how? I know how to add PCI id to AirPortAtheros40.kext/Contents/Info.plist, but that doesn't work. This only enable WiFi module, but that's all. All I get is same as image no.3 in post#1 by richard1994x.

I can't find any wifi. Wifi is listed as en1. I used this patched kext AirPortAtheros40.kext.zip and add it to /E/E also in /L/E than repair kext. But the result is same, can't find any wifi.

I have a similar problem with touchpad, though 2-finger scroll and 3-finger gesture is working, only 1-finger tap click is not (physical button works as click). When I try to use Touchpad Settings I get same error as mringis. BTW trackpad setting is empty. I'm using Dr. Hurt's Voodoo kext release5.

Disk utility and other options in menu bar while installing is still not visible, but I can manage this with my old El Capitan USB installer. Anyway, I can finally manage and get work Sierra, but... after succesfull installation, i can't boot to sierra. When I use USB to boot and than select disk with installed sierra there is an error: Can't find bootloader - System/Library/Kernels/kernel

Hi, i followed guide from Herve to install Sierra on 6230. Everything goes fine until i have to choose installation language. When i choose language and click on forward arrow, i can see on menu bar only Language Chooser. No other choises. Is there any workaround for this? thanks edit: bootflag cpus=1 helped

Sierra installed but I can't get work touchpad neither sound. voodoo kext copied to EFI-partition EFI/Clover/kexts/Other - didn't help in config.plist I can't find 8A19D411 also tried to instal kext to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other/LE - didn't help

Update to latest Clover didn't help. Is there any workaround to make bootable USB with Sierra?

Hi, i'm trying to update my E6230 with installed and working El Capitan to Sierra, but with no luck. Clover version is 3751 fakesmc.kext copied form L/E to EFI volume folder EFI/kexts/other downloaded sierra installer from app store and install but after restart in clover isn't option Boot macOS Install. i can only boot to el capitan or from recovery hdd. any suggestions? thanks
