  1. I'm sending this from my E6410; my OS X 10.11.6 Hackintosh!! Thank you for all the help, the only thing left to set up now is Clover on the internal HDD I hope that goes well! EDIT: Just noticed my sound doesn't work. I think I read something about it on the guide, though? I hope it's fixable.
  2. Thanks, I'll try installing those. I guess I won't transfer VoodooPS2Controller.kext, since I already have the (presumably) updated one. I do agree that the guide is a little... messy. Seems the creator's first language isn't English? EDIT: So, I installed the kexts. The touchpad stopped working (I didn't install VoodooPS2Controller.kext), and now whenever I press any button on the keyboard the entire screen flashes white (like the screenshot animation on iOS). I'll try an external keyboard, and if that doesn't work, I'll try installing the VoodooPS2Controller.kext from the guide, replacing the other one. EDIT2: Oh, wait, a reboot fixed the touchpad. The keyboard started working after I set it up. Now everything is working fine! The only thing that doesn't seem right is, of course, the WiFi, and the fact that there are a few apps with missing icons. Let's see how updating goes
  3. Well, I can only assume it is... I got it from the guide, see. That's also where the FakeSMC kexts came from; the guide said to place them in 10.10, 10.11, and Other (I put it in 10.12 as well, just to be safe). I had a DSDT.aml, but since the guide never called for it, I figured I would only need it for the installation of OS X. The theme, I am not sure about. It might've been in the pack of files I took from the guide, in which I only extracted the config.plist. Would having the missing DSDT.aml help with the keyboard/USB problem?
  4. This ALPS driver, correct? Alright, I'll try it out. I assume I just copy the kext to the folders in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts, correct? I don't need to do anything with "Touchpad Settings"? EDIT: Apparently not, my touchpad works fine now! Still not very useful without the keyboard, though... My EFI folder can be found on Google Drive here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6fMfzYoSCJCQW9yclA2d3V2ajA I zipped that up before I put in the ALPS driver kexts, but I don't think there would be much of a difference. I understand why the USB ports and touchpad don't work (El Capitan likes to screw with things, I guess), but why doesn't my internal keyboard work? Is that a USB device internally, too? Or is it some other reason? I sure hope my D620 doesn't explode before we're done with this, it's already engaging in the clicking hard drive charade.
  5. I tried booting with more arguments, this time. Specifically, I booted with "gux_defer_usb2 nvda_drv=1 kext-dev-mode=1 rootless=0 dart=0" instead of just "kext-dev-mode=1" (which was already set in the config.plist). Unfortunately, it still does not work. The external keyboard does work, however, in Clover and in the BIOS.
  6. My BIOS is at A16, the latest version as far as I can tell. If you mean the partition is supposed to be 200 MiB, it is; I was just stating the used space. I reinstalled Clover, and when I completely reinstalled OS X, it recognized the disk! It took a while to boot, and now it's just at a screen with a grey background and the cursor. I'm going to try replacing the config.plist with mine and removing the DSDT.aml and see how that goes. EDIT: I just noticed something: my config.plist (the one I had while installing OS X) wasn't named config.plist at all, it was named config_duduclx.plist! Maybe Clover picked it up anyway? EDIT2: It's working! It booted to the country selection screen. ...Except my keyboard and mouse don't work. The built in ones, nor the external ones. I'll try a different set and see how that goes. EDIT3: Even the Apple keyboard doesn't work! When pressing "caps lock", the green light doesn't come on, so I assume there isn't power going to the USB devices?
  7. Bump - I know this is a double post, and the bump is probably frowned upon, but I need this laptop working by tomorrow I've checked that the permission of the EFI files are 644, like all the others, yet it still does not work. GParted shows that OS X has indeed made partitions on the hard drive, and it says that the used amount of space on /dev/sda1 (EFI) is 3.09 MiB and the used space on /dev/sda2 (Hackintosh HD) is 286.86 MiB. That doesn't seem right, so I'll try reinstalling OS X.
  8. Well, I guess I'm using EFI, because the guide said to select the options for drivers in drivers64UEFI instead of drivers64. Oh well, I guess I'll find out! EDIT: I copied it in both folders, after it not working in drivers64UEFI. It still doesn't work. Might my OS X install be corrupted? Is there any way to check?
  9. (Yes, I know, this is a double post, but I just wanted to make sure that the notification was sent.) I'm at the point where I have to install OS X, and I was looking through /EFI/CLOVER, but there is no "drivers" folder. There are only "drivers64" and "drivers64UEFI". Should I place the file in both? Or only one, and if so, which one?
  10. Alrighty, I'll try that when I get my USB installer set up. I had to repartition drives and things just to back up my current Windows installation, but now that that's done, all that's left to do is redownload El Capitan, set up the installer, replace the file, and probably break my laptop. Hopefully all goes as planned, except that last part. I'll report back when I hit another roadblock, thank you!
  11. Hello, everyone. I've been having some issues with my impossible laptop... again. (I've been trying to hackintosh this thing for years.) It's a Dell Latitude E6410, with the Nvidia NVS 3100M, the Intel Core i5, and two 2GB RAM cards. I've tried installing on two HDDs, both 160GB and both encountering the issue mentioned in the title above, or getting a kernel panic (the last time I even got as far as getting a kernel panic was 2015, I was following a different guide than the one mentioned below and I barely remember anything from then). In further description, my problem occurs when I finish installing El Capitan via this guide, and after rebooting to Clover. Clover does not find a bootable HDD (there is no HDD displayed), just the USB installer. The exact setup I had been using for my computer can be found in a post I made on that guide (I am only typing this thread in the hope of getting more recognition of my issue, as no one had replied to me there for months). I would greatly appreciate any help, as the laptop is pretty useless to me as a Windows device, and I would also appreciate if someone told me if there was anything I did wrong with this post (missing information, wrong place, breaking rules, etc.), as I'm currently not feeling 100%. Thank you!
  12. Ahh, whoops! I didn't see that you linked to a different pack. Should I rerun the entire myHack installer, or only reinstall the pack? And does the 10.7.5 pack run on 10.7.0? EDIT: Well, I'm actually running out of time here (going on a life-related trip soon), so I'll just try anyway and hope I don't mess everything up! EDIT2: Running the Lion installer now! Do I need to install the pack to the hard drive too, or only the USB? EDIT3: I have received an error when running the Lion installer, the line with the error states "OSInstaller[325]: PackageKit: Install Failed: Error Domain=PKInstallErrorDomain Code=110 "An error occured while extracting files from the package "Essentials.pkg."" There is a lot more information, and at the end it states "The operation couldn't be completed. cpio read error: bad file format". I would be grateful if you or someone else could help me. EDIT4: Ok, I had to recreate the Lion installer, but I finally have a functioning 10.7.5 install! For some reason, though, I have to install every update manually, as Software Update does not work. Thanks for all the help!
  13. Ok, so, I finished the myHack guide, except when initially running myHack on the Mac itself, it did not ask me to support my own Extra folder. I decided to simply replace (delete original/move other) the folder, and it worked fine. The setup did ask me, however. All went well, until I had to reboot to install EDP. I had to boot into safe mode; else, it would hang on the "OSXLATITUDE" Apple logo eternally. After installing EDP and the reboot, it got stuck again. The final line in verbose mode is "SuperIODevice: [Fatal] found unsupported chip! ITE sequence ID=0x2803, Winbond sequence ID=0xffff". I have not yet tried safe mode, I will try now and edit this post when finished. EDIT: Safe mode displays the same thing.
  14. Oh! Well, that's a relief. Ok! So, I would have to... use another installation of OS X? This was my only device that ran OS X, so I'm not sure how I would use myHack. I may be able to borrow an actual Mac, however. EDIT: Nevermind, I found the guide ( http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/documentation/pre-installation/ ), and I'll follow it as soon as I find the time. But, hmm, the question is, should I install Clover or Chameleon? Well, I suppose I'll use Chameleon, seeing as it is the part of the guide that uses myHack, which you had suggested. Thank you for your help!
  15. Hello, everyone. I have recently updated my 10.6.8 D620 (Intel GMA950 1440x900) to 10.7.0. I have followed a guide for 10.6.0 which has since seems to have been removed (EDIT: after furious searching, as in a few seconds with the right parameters, here it is!), although I remember it being an almost completely vanilla install, and afterwards installed the 10.6.8 combo update. I then installed EDP v7 beta 8, copied the Extra folder from the root of the hard drive to the root of the USB, downloaded the Lion installer, and created a USB installer. I also saw a guide that said to use this Extra folder and this smbios.plist, so I did. I also installed the latest version of Chameleon to the USB. The install went fine, although I had to boot with -x. The initial boot also went fine, but I still had to use -x. If I did not use -x, it would freeze somewhere while booting. I set up my hackintosh, reinstalled EDP to the hard drive along with Chameleon, and installed "New" VoodooPS2 and VoodooHDA with the EDP Launcher. I installed both kexts directly to /S/L/E. However, when I rebooted, I was greeted with a kernel panic. The description seems to be "CPU 0 has no HPET assigned to it" (I am not completely sure if this is actually the description, however)(EDIT: sometimes the description is "No HPETs available...CPU(s) configured incorrectly", such as when booting with only -v). I have tried the following boot arguments: (none) -v -v -x PCIRootUID=1 -x cpus=1 ForceHPET=Yes PCIRootUID=1 -x Please try to help if possible. I probably left a lot of information out, please notify me if so. I realize now that wiping the USB installer right after installing and setting up was definitely not the best idea. EDIT: By the way, I forgot to put this my post, single-user mode does not work. It lets me type in the prompt for a few seconds, but then kernel panics the same way as above. And, once this whole mess is sorted out, would it be safe to update to 10.7.5?
