Arrandale/1st gen Intel HD graphics: display issue
Dude786 replied to Dude786's topic in The Archive
I installed the os fine by removing the AppleIntelGraphicsFB.kext and did the same after the Install by connecting the HDD to another mac and then delete the kext so I could get into the desktop! I followed a Guide to enable Full Acceleration QE/CI but it just leaves me with a White Screen I took a screenshot using keyboard shortcut on the blank screen and sure enough the OS was there and had Acceleration but the White screen is blocking the view and I can't see a thing! Anyone have a fix for this I've tried the Framebuffers but none of them work I don't know how to use Giofridas patcher tool because it just says Patching Failed! I don't know what to do, does anyone know about this? Tried npci=0x2000 and npci=0x3000 -f -v but still gives me the white screen? Please I'm really hopeless right now and have been trying for a numerous amount of days! -

Also I think I might be getting confused because it says after you have installed the kexts reboot and log in you should have full graphics but in the config.plist it is using vBIOS patch =Yes and inject intel=No, what do I need to change here? -

Intel NUC Core i3-4010U Haswell Yosemite or El Capitan?
Dude786 replied to Dude786's topic in The Archive
Thanks for the reply but I've found the DSDT.aml SSDR.aml Config.Plist And two Kexts for the Graphics I haven't tried although? Because my NUC is being shipped from the US to the UK at the moment? So I'll Post the Specs if the USB I've pre-Created doesn't work 😊 -
Hi I've got the Intel NUC Core i3 Haswell version with HD 4400 Graphics I've just ordered it online and I was looking for OSX NUCS and there are videos on YouTube but they are using the i5 model and they don't say how they install it? Is there a Boot pack for the Intel NUC? Please if someone does have it then please post! I've searched and searched I know my CPU and Graphics are supported but I don't known there are Motherboard issues as it's Intel Based and if there are DSDT.aml files or a Special Configuration.plist file? Thanks! !!!

Note I'm just doing this for fun! So I've read how to do it and I tried it but it doesn't work I edit the about this mac strings and change the cpu to the name I want but still doesn't work also is it wierd if I search the cpu in the Document it doesn't come up? I searched my Actual CPU name in the Strings file but it didn't find it!? I caN edit the Graphics Display Sto rage and Memory sections but still won't work?? Is there something I have to do in the Bootloader I'm using clover? There are cpu tuning options? Or should I not touch them? Is it becyase my Laptop recognises the CPU Nativley? I have a Dell Latitude E6400 Intel Version yes I know the graphics aren't supported but I can live with that! I can use it fine! I'm upgrading soon to nvidia so yh, anyway how do I edit the CPU? Has someone got a Program Maybe? With a friendly GUI? Do I almost have to set it so it doesn't Recognise my CPU Automatically? So I can change it? Or should thst not matter please help me!!!!! Thanks

how to get display port Yosemite Dell Latitude E6400 Clover?
Dude786 replied to Dude786's topic in The Archive
@yekabs you have the Dell Latitude E6500 not E6400 This Install AND bootpack will not work you know what they say Don't ever use another Laptops or PC's bootpack unless you have the same configuration becuase the DSDT.AML and Config.Plist are different to your Laptop, I do belive that the e6400 has a 14.1 inch screen and the e6500 has a 15.4 inch screen so the resolution will not work sorry I will try and find the bootpack for your PC do not worry my friend 😊 -

He said you've tried all you can and our technicians have said that the nVidia Chip has Failed So if you want money back then post to us! how to get display port Yosemite Dell Latitude E6400 Clover?
Dude786 replied to Dude786's topic in The Archive
Ok thanks -
Hi sorry btw if I'm not supposed to post this on this forum my laptop Is running Yosemite and it's a hackintosh so I hope it's ok please let me know! So before I begin here are my laptop with specs Dell Latitude E6400 NVIDIA Qaudro NVS 160M 8GB DDR2 SDRAM Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 So I'm running Yosemite 10.10 Retail on this laptop and there's one massive issue! The GPU temperature, It increases From 57°C to 95°C when I plug it in and that's only Idle! There's no Load I have programs installed to tell me the temperature and the CPU stays around the same between 25°C and 34°C. But my GPU doesn't this makes the laptop Shut down and in my BIOS I opened a Log and it said Critical Thermal Power Event so obviously it's the temp at the moment I have managed to bring the temp from 95°C to 76°C by Freezing some water in a tub then Placing the Laptop over the tub underneath the fan Vent there is a gap so no water can seep into the system and the Base is water sealed! I changed my fan speed to max so the Frozen Water Input is Powerful and so is Output. I can keep my Laptop Cool like this but when I'm out or anywhere I can't carry a Tub of frozen Ice! I'm not sure if this may be the problem becuase I'm new to Hackintosh and Laptops and temperatures so I opened the Base of the laptop and located the GPU it stated NVIDIA and the CPU is very very close to the GPU, the Heat Sink isn't actually touching the GPU the Gold Copper thing isn't touching the Nvidia Card? Is that the problem by any chance? Becuase I have Some Copper Shims if they would help? There is a Thermal Pad but it seems really damaged and Corroded so I'd assume that's the reason unless it she BIOS or the fan Performance? Thanks

how to get display port Yosemite Dell Latitude E6400 Clover?
Dude786 replied to Dude786's topic in The Archive
Yes the boot loader comes up on the Monitor and i can see it boot up and all the kexts loading but when it gets to the login screen the monitor doesn't receive any signal it goes to sleep I've tried going into System Preferences and going to display then holding alt and pressing detect displays it doesn't do anything, also when i connect the DP Cable into my Laptop the screen Flashes a Light Blue but doesn't connect to the display just the laptop screen remains on. Is there a display port Option in the Clover Configurator I'm not Aware of? Something i need to type into the Config.Plist file? Thanks for the Quick reply -
I installed Yosemitr Retail with Clover om my Dell Latitude E6400 Nvidia Qaudro NVS 160M Graphics Model and it went perfectly but there's one issue, I can get VGA but not Display Port I don't want to use VGA becuase VGA is supported on my smaller Monitor which is Dell E1913 and I have a Dell U2715H but that only has display port and HDMI obviously Dell Latitude E6400 only has Display port or VGA and in this case VGA isn't an Option I need to use Display Port in the Forum where I learned how to Install Yosemite on Dell Latitude E6400 someone Replied saying "The Displayport works Perfectly but not in the docking station" i don't have a docking station so I need to know how to Use Display Port is there a Kext I need for Nvidia Display Port is it a matter of connecting and pressing a few keys? Please could someone Help me as I really need display port my specs are below Dell Latitude E6400 nVidia Qaudro NVS 160M Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 @ 2.53 Ghz 8GB DDR2 SDRAM Motherboard is Dell WP507 Atheros AR5895 Wireless Card 500GB HDD 14.1 Inch LCD screen What works -VGA -USB Ports -Firewire Pott -eSata USB Port -Sound -Networking (WiFi DOES Work) -Full Graphics Accelaration QE/CI -Audio Output -Mic Input -DVD RW Drive -Ethernet Port Not Working -Display Port -Smart Card Reader -Express Card Slot Not Tested -SD Card (No Kext Installed)

E6400 Nvidia NVS 160M (not Intel GMA) Yosemite CLOVER Guide
Dude786 replied to krzysztofc10's topic in The Archive
How did you get display port working!!!!? Becuase only VGA works and my Monitor isn't supporting that reoslution through VGA!? Can you please tell me how? Or can you give me a kext you Installed? -
So I saw that the Dell Latitude E6400 can run OS X Yosemite as long as it has the Nvidia Quadro NVS 160M but if I do buy it and install OSX 10.10 will the Display Port Work or not Becuase I know VGA will work but my Monitor doesn't support VGA or DVI it's either HDMI which this Motherboard doesn't have or Display Port which it does have so that's the only way it can work the reoslution is 2560x1440? Does this card even support that Resolution or not? Please help me becuase the motherboard will be Shipped over from a different country and there's only 1 left in stick thanks guys
