Could the BIOS or Clover Boot Loader version be the cause of this issue? I recall having full functionality of 10.11.6 before updating to 10.12 then downgrading back to 10.11.6.

I too have this issue with Dr. Hurts ALPS TouchPad driver (R6B6). Caps Lock and the LED indicator remain until I perform a cold boot.

That did the trick.

I'm sorry, it takes me some time to thoroughly understand how to identify and fix an issue. I did use the El Capitan bootpack and I've checked the "config.plist", but couldn't find the values mentioned above. Do you mind guiding me to the correct bootpack?
The system did boot before an automatic App Store update took place. -

My mistake. I must've accidentally installed the latest kext into the EFI volume of my main OS X El Capitan installation.

Okay, Thank you.

Will updating my E7440's BIOS to the latest version (A20) cause any issues when updating to macOS Sierra?

I want to fix the high CPU usage issue. The CPU usage is high when the power adapter is connected, it then lowers once it is disconnected.
-
on some machines there are bios options for things like that low power use during battery use. sometimes the options name does not imply it clearly though.
So are you suggesting it may be a setting in the BIOS causing the issue?

Are you running with the Turbo disabler kext?
Yes

My CPU usage is extremely high while connected to AC power, the CPU usage then lowers when I unplug the power adapter from the laptop.
Persistent logs while the AC power adapter is connected:

Thank you. It booted the operating system and I replaced both kext files with the updated ones you've provided.

My E7440 (running El Capitan 10.11.4) is stuck in a boot loop. The screen gradually shuts off once the Apple logo appears then the computer restarts. The computer also restarts midway while using the verbose argument.
Uncommon tasks before the problem occurred:
Updated Digital Camera RAW

Netflix works well on my Apple Macbook without installing any additional plugins and search results regarding the issue are very unhelpful. Did this issue come about a mistake I made throughout the install process or could it be that my device lacks certain component support (e.g. drivers, software, etc.)?
These issues occur while using Safari on El Capitan. The error code I receive while attempting to play Netflix content is S7381-1204. Also, I never receive a prompt when a website attempts to access my microphone or camera making it impossible to use the requested device(s).

I downloaded the old bootpack on the 9th. Thanks for letting me know about the update it works now.

I chose the model that's most appropriate in SMBIOS and disabled hibernation. Upon reboot my battery status went missing and now I can't enable the option "Show battery in menu bar".
Do changes in SMBIOS affect which kexts load and which don't? If so, should I reinstall and leave the default assigned model included in the boot pack or is there another way to resolve this issue?
The model I chose under SMBIOS was: MacbookPro (11,2) - Core i7 (Haswell)
Latitude E7440
OS X El Capitan

Hi, I followed the guide below and ended up with a scrambled image at the install process. What can I do to fix this issue?
