  1. Hmm, can't say I have tried connecting to a dock. Good to know that it works, but you can't carry a dock everywhere you go, so an USB adapter is still a good way to go. Does the DVI video work through the dock for you?

No DVI out don't work... The internal screen switch one second to black, but don't see any picture in external DVI monitor.

Also docking station audio works only VoodooHDA...

What a type of you USB adapter? Fullí working with OSX? Also Yosemite (i use Yosemite DP8 in this time...)

  2. HDMI audio so far is not supported on the HD 4400, only HD 4600 has been confirmed to work.

Headphone issue has been known for this model and no fix thus far both with patched AppleHDA and voodooHDA. Pokenguyen don't own this model, but I can confirm what works is to use an USB headphone adapter.

    Thanks Jake!

I use docking station in my work, and headphones in dock work! I use this :)

I plan to buy another docking for home audio :)

  3. Hi All!

I install Yosemite this method my (7240 i7 FHD Touch)

Clover boot time slow as hell :(

When i boot, see the progressbar after 2-3 sec, but this point mouse is appear, screen have lot of white dots, and still here for 30-40 sec before the login screen appears :(

Also very slow mission control animations, sluggish animations, etc...

I repatched my DSDT, SSDT but same...

I have QE/CI, 1500MB vRam for video, but still sloooow...

Mavericks in another external disk with Chameleon, works like a charm... (need patched mach_kernel for haswell, not released for Yosemite :( )

    Anyone have an idea?

    Thanks!

  4. Hi!

    Try this boot pack.

    Is mine old 6430 i5 3320m HD4000 only. (my screen is 1600x900) but i rewrite chameleon.plist to 1366x768.

Also i remove the AIFC.kext, you dont need this, and set Capri value to 3 in plist. (this value vork foor me ago...) also include modded bluetooth kext.

Boot from usb install, run MyHack, select install extra, select my own, select attached extra folder (first copy to USB 😊 ) and if my hack finish, run again and select myfix. All from the USB installer.

If all finished, dont remove USB install! Boot from usb, in boot menu select your osx partition, in chameleon parameter write -v -x -f

    Boot....

If you Osx is up, browse Usb pen drive, in my extra folder include latest chameleon installer.

Install, do not customize install, simple next-next-next...

    reboot...

in boot menu parameter write -v -f

    Good Luck...

  5. Hi Rob,

It's still work-in-progress. I got it to boot with QE/CI. Still missing speedstep, audio (using voodoohda for now but headphone and mic are not working), and sleep. Wanted to get a working DSDT/SSDT and AppleHDA before posting a guide.

How far have you gotten so far?

    Hi!

    USB3 work for you?

My only work when i delete Appleusbxhci.kext from IOUSBFamily.kext/Plugins, but only USB2 speed work

    Genericusbxhci not load....

Mic work when i switch source to microphone both, but headphones not work...

and need to boot modified mach_kernel, original mach_kernel causes instant reboot.

And i not use DSDT, i no talent in DSDT editing.

If you have any cool stuff, Extra, and info, please post for me...

    Thanks!

  7. I recently gotten a Dell E7240 with Haswell processor i5-4300u. For me to get full graphics, I have IntelAzulFB=12 and GraphicsEnabler=Yes. Also to get webcam detected, I need to boot without boot cache (-f switch).

    Hi!

    You use Dell Latitude e7240?

If yes please help me, i have same notebook, but i need some /Extra stuffs.

Can you post me your /Extra folder? Or install instructions in forum?

    Thanks!

  8. rob,

Found that the connectors in AppleIntelFramebufferCapri needs to be modded if the resolution is 1600x900 or higher. Included is the boot pack that should work for your model if you're still interesting in testing Mavericks. Included AppleIntelFramebufferCapri is from DP4,but won't cause any issue with DP1 installer. For those with 1366x768, just remove AppleIntelFramebufferCapri from the boot pack.

    Hi!

Thanx for the info, and the modifyed KEXT!!!

Finally i use Mavericks DP4, and HDMI out is WORK :)

    Great!

    Thanx again!

  9. Thanx! i try...

    Hi!

Here is the DSDT I am using. http://db.tt/IGvnoxCu

I didn't patch myself but downloaded it from this forum.

    Hi!

This DSDT, and modded AIFC.kext works good on my system, HDMI, LCD, USB 3.!

If i start with -f switch, and not use kernel cache all works GOOD :)

But if i start normally without -f switch, and use kernel cache, my computer is going to sleep when desktop is arrive. I push the power button, desktop is seen,

    and all work.

    Strange :)

I modded my Vanilla DSDT wit this patches (above) and not modified USB3 stuffs in DSDT, all works good, without -f switch, but no USB3, and my right side USB not work.

    You can also experience this?

    (sorry my bad English :))

  10. I am using 10.8.3. I modify the native AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext (Version 8.10.44) for the patch.

    My spec:

    Dell Latitude E6430

    i5 3320 2.6GHz

    HD4000 only, resolution 1600x900

I have ig-platform-id 0x01660003 in DSDT, so it's to modify the relevant section in AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.

    Copy AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext from /S/L/E to /E/E.

Open in binary the file /Extra/Extensions/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri

    Find "03 00 66 01" at address 0x0005E840 (as of Version 8.10.44).

Then starting at a few lines below this, from address 0x0005E870, there lists the available ports for this ID:

    05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 00 00 00 // LVDS (Internal Display)

    02 05 00 00 00 04 00 00 07 04 00 00 // DisplayPort

    03 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00 // DisplayPort

    04 06 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00 // DisplayPort

I do below modifications in red:

    05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 02 00 00 // LVDS (Internal Display)

    02 05 00 00 00 08 00 00 06 00 00 00 // HDMI

    03 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00 // DisplayPort

    04 06 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00 // DisplayPort

For the modification in LVDS, it's because I have 1600x900 resolution. The internal display is black without this modification.

For the modification in HDMI, I had display but no audio without this modification.

Hope this clarifies. Here is the modified AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri.kext if anyone needed it. http://db.tt/CGz1Iz4W

    Hi!

I have Same config, and trouble :)

Please post your Patched DSDT for me...

I not a genius for DSDT patching, but have same problem...

    Please!

    thankx :)

    rob

  11. Hi,

Your boot.plist doesn't include the DSDT file, are you adding it during boot?

If you rename the default name, then you need to specify it in the boot.plist the exact name and path.

Yes, i manually enter DSDT path if i need HDMI (watch movies, etc...)

I use more frequently internal LCD. But LCD only work this EFI string and no DSDT.

This is an only problem that prevents me from having a perfect Hackintosh :(

  12. Have you tried just booting with -v -f ?

I had it happen once upon rebooting where the screens were black, but I could still control audio volume via the buttons on the laptop.  the mouse was the only thing that was showing... I rebooted with -v -f and it hasn't happened since...  not sure if this is the same problem you experienced or not, but It might help.

    Hi!

    I always boot -v -f, otherwise USB3 doesn't work.

In 10.9 this DSDT allow me to HDMI screen! But only HDMI no LCD.

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2519/DSDT-hdmi.aml

And this EFI string allow me the internal LCD, but no HDMI

    <key>device-properties</key><string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000003006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>

If use DSDT and String at the same time, only DSDT work an overwrite STRING function :(

  13. That EFI string is only for display. You need DSDT patching to enable HDMI.

Try this dsdt file and report back. Extract it and place in E/E, rename it to DSDT.aml

    Hi!

Use this DSDT notebook works strange :)

If i boot, not picture in internal LCD, only backlight...

Plug in HDMI, see gray background and mouse pointer in external screen, LCD still black, only backlight....

Switch monitors (FN+F8) all screen goes black.

Switch again (FN+F8) internal LCD is scrambled screen.

Plug out HDMI cable, internal LCD is WORK! External is Sleep...

Plug in HDMI again internal LCD and HDMI WORK! :)

    Strange :(

Likely my notebook to be specific hardware assemblies?

But my hardware stack has the same parameters as yours
    except for the LCD resolution

    Strange :(

  14. Please send me the DSDT you use on your working ML. In the interim, try removing the patched AppleintelFramebufferCapri.kext

on Mavericks, run myfix and see if it make a difference. Also place link to where you obtain this patched file.

    Hi!

I not use DSDT in ML, and also 10.9.

I probe all DSDT from this forum but LCD and HDMI not work in ML also in Mavericks.

If i use your DSDT only AppleHDA and Battery work in ML.

I switch to VoodooHDA and VoodooBattery and DSDT free ML and 10.9.

In ML i use this AppleIntelFramebufferCapry.kext, this kext enable LCD and HDMI in ML, but not in 10.9 :(

In 10.9 this kext don't work.

    Link:

    http://iFail.me/forum/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=23300

I extract my vanilla DSDT in Linux if you help me the edit.

    Sorry my bad english :)

  15. If you have a working ML on the same hardware, you can use the same extra folder for the 10.9 build. Copy the whole Extra folder to Mavericks and run myfix on it.

Here, try mine if you want to see if works  better. I changed the resolution to match your hardware

    Not work :(

If i use my own Extra folder from ML, or use yours, no picture in internal LCD and HDMI :(

Backlight working, audio and other things run in the background, but no screen...

    I change back to ML...

If i extract my DSDT and upload here, You please look at the difference between yours and mine?

    Thanks!
