Here it is. Everything is working ok: trackpad, screen, wifi (using a broadcom card) on a Dell D820 with 10.6.8. The only thing which still might cause a pb is that sometimes the screen goes blank when the screensaver should start and does not starts again. For now I solved this by disabling the screensaver/energy saving. Regards, Olsen Extra.zip

I managed to fix this also by installing the BroadCom...Family.kext to /Extra/Extensions and running edp again. Otherwise the trackpad does not work. Thank you very much for all your help, Olsen

Finally I managed to install everything using the old installer and Edp 1.9.2. Everything works except the wifi which worked in the installer actually It's broadcom on which I applied the airport eeprom change. It is seen, cannot activate it, no dmesg error.

I have tried re-installing everything from the old iso method and I run the new edp, now I have a black screen from the begining, no chameleon screen or anything. Are the old edp's and documentation still available?

Boots but gets stuck to VoodooTSCSync::doTsc(): stamp_tsc was called 2 times, no error.

Yes, with GraphicsEnabley=No it starts with 1024x768 resolution. I tried to run InstallEDP again but it seems to be frozen at Step 4), call MyFix. I have run by hand myfix -q -t / and on reboot there was the same problem. I also tried a build but there is an error: find path, no such file of directory, myfix is run correctly and then the same problem on reboot.

Can I do this from single user mode? I am not very sure how to enable networking in single user mode. I come from an unix background but I have not much experience with osx command line. I guess I have to load some drivers and then do a ifconfig.

I think it was a 2.2, quite old.

It's chameleon v2.2svn 2170. However the boot works, I can enter single mode or I see the osxlatitude screen and the working/loading icon. The problem occurs just after this point. Regards,

I have been successfully running osx 10.6.8 on a D820 for some time. Since the wifi never worked I recently found an used broadcom card and installed and decided to also run the latest edp. However after reboot, the screen is blank. This happens after boot and the startup screen on nvidia driver activation probably. I have booted in -x -v -s mode, copied restored the old /Extra and ran the old edptool.command but it still does not work. Any ideeas? Regards, Olsen
