  1. I did another try using a hackintosh of a friend. No luck, still reboots. I'm planning give up for a while. Hope after several months of dust settle down, I will be able to see things more clearly and from different perspective. Thanks everyone for their time and the good will to help. I'll be back, for sure .
  2. @Darvinko, respect you are as pitbul in its bite, never give up. I'll try again, with a hackintosh of a friend of mine.
  3. Yes, I interrupt the installation and I have the image in my application folder. MyHack propose to autofind the installation image, and it actually find it correctly.
  4. I'm not very experienced in Mac things, so I'm not sure I understand your first assumption. It came with 10.8.2 prteinstalled and first thing I did was to apply the pending update to 10.8.3. I then went to App Store and bought ML installation. When I start MyFix It actually find the downloaded ML installation which is 10.8.3, same as Mac Mini's OS.In meantime I did wipe out of the Mac Mini I did download again and this time I allowed OS to be reinstalled by the image I have downloaded from App Store, then I downloaded again the image as it was gone. Looks like mine is exception, anyway I'll keep trying until I buy a MacBook Pro. Last try with MyHack full fix after very other operation made the USB installer ubbootable, it could not load even the loader. I'll try again the same process in order to exclude any possibility of mistake during preparation process. I found another absolutely same problem as mine, which was resolved with PCIRootUID=1, but it did not helped me.
  5. Yes I did this. Laptop is in its minimum regarding the hardware. I will also try to change the flash drive. Although I cannot see any indications of problems.
  6. Yes I have both, but MyHack is failing on mounting and validating step with 10.8.2. I'm using 10.8.3. I'll do the additional MyFix and will skip the maintenance. I'm far from seeing the installer disk utility.
  7. To make things as simple as possible I did: * remove all wireless cards (bluetooth, wlan, wwan) * remove my current HDDs (ssd and normal HDD in the CD bay) * remove sim card and sdcard * put empty HDD * put CDROM Build install flash drive and make a movie with exact process (there is one extra "s" in the video when I saved E6500 boot pack, I notice it and remove it later, not in the video though). Here is the video: Let me know if you have trouble to open it. Anyway, no luck, and my Hackintosh still stays in the status "desired to happen".
  8. During the weekend I reinstalled my mac, I wipe it and had my hard time reinstalling it from Internet recovery. Looks like the problem was residing either in NVRAM (find key combination to clean it) or the second monitor that was attach to the hdmi port, but was switched off. Anyway at the end it managed to boot correctly the recovery console and I've manged to finish the installation. I have fresh downloads of all needed components on freshly installed mac, now I will follow above step very closely, I even have a blank HDD just for the purpose. If installer start and pass, I will play with dual boot on my SSD. My SSD currently has 2 MBR partitions + unpartitioned space, first is system (boot) small partition and 2nd is windows 7 install partition. I plan to install OS X on the unpartitioned space left on the SSD.
  9. I just find out how to check the type of the format on my disks, so all of them are MBR formated. Could this be the problem?
  10. This is my work laptop and I use it all the time under Windows 7. It is pretty loaded during my work day and it is stable. In past with this configuration it also has in parallel to Windows 7 - FreeBSD and Ubuntu. Currently this partition is free and wait the Hackintosh. The flash drive is brand new, I bought it just for the Hackintosh purpose. 16GB USB2 (HP v210w). Maybe I will do some validation for errors etc...have to find the proper tool. I'm on latest BIOS - A27 from long time. Indeed there could be a chance for corrupted download of OS install, but during building process with MyHack, I can see it is validated. Anyway I will delete it and download it again. As for MyHack and other kexts and tools, I download them multiple times. For example yesterday, I delete all downloaded applications and do a fresh download, as names are pretty close and I want to be sure about the version I use. I already tried removing SSD, and leave only the SATA disk, no change. Although I'm not sure whether SATA disk is using GUID partitions. The inability to unmount is this indexing process I'm killing and then I'm ready to go. It happens almost every time, sometimes it is enough just to plug the usb and this process to start and lock the device, sometimes I have to keep it longer. My Mac is pretty new - 1 month, I still not use it for anything else, but browsing or use iTerm. Anyway, maybe I will try to reinstall it, as in the very beginning I've managed to hang it several times. In addition XBMC is pretty unstable. So there could be a problem with the mac or the OSX installation I have.
  11. I've tried this. No success. This is what I've done: Load kext Nvidia for 10.8.2, directly over the already built installer. Run full fix in MyHack. Did above also for Nvidia 10.8.2 edited. In addition I removed all possible hardware from the laptop that could be removed. I physically removed all wireless cards (WLAN,WWAN and BLUETOOTH), removed both HDDs, remove sdcard, remove sim card. Still no change in behaviour, same reboots. Cursed situation, either I'm doing something wrong, that I do every time wrongly or my laptop is just different from what is supposed to work. Strange is that every other laptop I've tried, just give kernel panic and does not reboot, which is expected as installer is not build with correct drivers.
  12. Darvinko, I will try it tonight. I have both ML 10.8.3 and 10.8.2 bought from the appstore (I paid it twice on different accounts ), the Mac I have is on 10.8.3, Is it possible to use 10.8.2? I actually tried it, but received an error on mount & validate step for 10.8.2. Anyway, there could be trick or something not so straightforward?
  13. I'm reading this help: http://forge.voodooprojects.org/p/chameleon/source/tree/HEAD/tags/2.1/doc/BootHelp.txt .... Example: mach_kernel rd=disk0s1 -v "Graphics Mode"="1920x1200x32" .. Kernel and disk do not seems optional, anyway I don't have any experience with Chameleon bootloader, so you could be right. It is not very precise document. For example I cannot figure out the proper value for rd=?, I press F10, as stated in the document, with intention to list bootable disks, but nothing happened. I tried with several values disk0s1 and disk2s1, both are working, so looks like it not playing any role. During the boot, I can see kext are read from hd(0,2), which for me is first disk, third partition, but it has only one partition, so can't figure it out.
  14. Some more thoughts. My CPU is T9400 which is 2 cores and no hyperthreading. So far with FreeBSD for example I can see 2 CPUs defined in the system. In the 3rd picture above I can see that OSX find 4 CPUs. Is this normal? http://ark.intel.com/products/35562/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-T9400-6M-Cache-2_53-GHz-1066-MHz-FSB
