  1. I will try to help you.

Thanks to @Jake Lo I have almost fully working Dell Latitude 7480 with latest High Sierra installed.

If you still need help, let me know I will try help you with the installation and basic configuration.

I cannot help you with ACPI tables you will need to ask someone else from the forum for help.

  2. See install guide

    https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-el-capitan-clover-guide/&do=findComment&comment=54621

You can try this bootpack for 7480 https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=14622

or use the one for e7470 from install guide (scroll down and look for correct bootpack)

    BIOS Settings:
Set to "Load Default", Apply, then set the following:
    TPM = Disabled
    Secure Boot = Disabled
    UEFI = Enabled
    SATA Operation = AHCI
Wake on Lan /WLan = Disabled
Enable Legacy Option ROMs = Enabled
(If Ethernet doesn't load, try disabling it instead)

  3. It should be on my kext list. Fake_PCIID.kext installed together with FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext.

I try to modify my ACPI table, but still no luck no keyboard or mouse.

For Skylake processor, it's better to use HWP Enable, or ssdtPRGen? For now, both are not working, due to the wrong DSDT?

I cannot set DVMT to 96. Jake Lo, can you help?

UPDATE: I used 0x2 for 0x795 and I'm able to run macOS installer, but probably I will have wrong GPU value?

UPDATE2: Set DVMT for 0x795 to 0x2 - now macOS shows 1536 MB:)

@Jake Lo can you help set DSDT/SSDT? My origin folder attached. No Ethernet and Wifi (replaced with DW1830).

  6. Hi Guys,

Does anyone try to install macOS Sierra on Latitude 7480? Waiting for mine, date of delivery for the laptop is 06/09/2017.

It's a replacement for my e7470. Not sure why, but my offer look like Skylake processor. Maybe mistake. Or maybe they offer one with Skylake and Kabe Lake processor. How about the Docking Station TB16? It's using Thunderbolt, but will it work with macOS?

  7. A problem with DW1830 is solved. Jake Lo prepared E7470_v1.15.4_alternate bootpack. New DSDT/SSDT fix problem with WiFi.

    Airdrop - working

Continuity - not working or working slowly like tabs in Safari

Universal Clipboard - not working, it worked once

Apple Watch auto-unlock not working, get the pop-up unlocking with apple watch, but after a while it ask for password.

find my iphone - can be enabled and it's working until restart- it's disabled again after restart

    I looked for BCM94360 replacment. I found BCM94360CS2 Card To NGFF(M.2) Key A/E Adapter https://goo.gl/images/giwTWH

BCM94360CD fit to it, but it's not recognized in BIOS/Windows or macOS. Also antenna connectors not fit and I'm NOT sure if I could close the down cover properly with screws,- card with adaprter is quite big.

  8. Wifi nad bluetooth works fine with Dw1830 and Dw1560, on windows no issues.

On mac Only bluetooth is available. To make sure There is no problem with kexts etc. I reinstalled macOS partition after I switched to DW1560. Both card were checked on e7450 and there are no problems.

  9. Strange, my e7470 seems to be not compatible with DW1830, at least with the one I have.

I asked Hervé for help, but he was not able to make it work too.

I put now DW1560 to m.2 slot, but still same problem. No Wifi, Bluetooth is working.

Latest Bootpack and BIOS installed E7470_BIOSv10.15.4.zip

    Clover updated to latest version

    In system Information:

I got info about MacBook Pro 13.1 (two thunderbolt ports), why?

I had to disable LegacyBoot, when it’s enable Ethernet is not present.

  10. Hi,

I would like to reinstall my macOS Sierra installation, without loosing exisiting Windows installation.

Same SSD drive. Can I boot thru Clover to recovery and start fresh installation? Or boot with macOS USB installer, wipe macOS and start new installation? If I copy Microsoft folder from EFI, will it be possible to use Windows after mac reinstallation?

    UEFI

  11. make sure you have installed in /L/E:

    FakePCIID.kext

    FacePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext

    BrcmPatchRam2.kext

    BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext

rebuild permission, do it all over until you will get no errors:

    sudo chmod -Rf 755 /L*/E*
    sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /L*/E*
    sudo touch -f /L*/E*
    sudo chmod -Rf 755 /S*/L*/E*
    sudo chown -Rf 0:0 /S*/L*/E*
    sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E*
    sudo kextcache -Boot -U /

I had to repaet it 8 times!

If you still got errors try repeat touch and use:

    sudo touch -f /L*/E*
    sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E*

    sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

    or

    sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

use config.plist from latest SIerra bootpack for e7450

    https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=12017

    Reboot

  12. hanks for reply Hervé.

FakePCIID.kext removed, now only BrcmPatchRam2.kext and BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext are in /s/e, but still no Wifi after rebuilding permissions.

Could it be a DSDT problem? If I run ssdtPRGen.sh there is no error, but when I put SSDT.aml to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched I got kernel panic during boot.

From config.plist removed all patches related to Bluetotoh, Handoff, 5hgz patch and bcm94352z ngff.
