  1. Have tried these suggestions and still unable to get any sound output.
  2. This is what I seem to get every time I repair permissions and rebuild cache.
  3. That did the trick. I am up and running. Thanks for all the help. I have no audio though, and from what I've read I will have to buy a new wifi card? Or is there a way around that.
  4. Well it asks to specify a CoreStorage Logical Volume instead, not a physical one..
  5. It says "/dev/disk0s2 is a CoreStorage Physical Volume" when I select the volume the OS is installed on.
  6. After the re-install the Hackintosh appeared as a boot option, but now of course it won't boot and gives me the prohibited sign. Verbose reads: "CoreStorageFamily: :unlockVeks(AABEAC6D-ECD3-417E-984B-CD4A2325E855) Vek unwrap failed. this is normal, except for the root volume."
  7. I was able to install the OS. I went through all of the post installation steps and rebooted. Once I rebooted back to the Clover interface my operating system was no longer an option. I'm not sure what happened. Re-installing OS now...and thank you both for all the help with this so far.
  8. Beautiful. Changing to the E6230 bootpack seemed to do the trick. El Capitan is currently installing. The display had some artifacts for a short period of time but like you said, restoring to A11 should resolve that.
  9. Still no go. BIOS all the way up to date. AsusAICPUPM is checked. Not sure where to go from here.
  10. Is there an easy way to mount my EFI partition so I can edit the config.plist file? I The only way I can get to it is if i run the Clover....r3424.pkg, then I'm able to view the EFI partition. Otherwise it is hidden.
  11. Replacing the VoodooPS2Controller alone did not work. I then checked CPUS=1 and that seemed to do the trick, for that issue anyways. Now there is a new one. The progress bar gets a bout halfway and then goes black. I tried to get a picture with the verbose flag on but the screen goes black before i get the chance.
  12. Thanks for your response. I opened the .plist, but can't seem to find that option. Where would it be?
  13. Hello all, First time poster. I was able to successfully load OS X El Capitan on my custom desktop with no issues at all. I'm having all kinds of trouble with this Dell laptop. System specs: Dell Latitude E6430s CPU: Intel i5-3340M @ 2.70GHz RAM: 8GB PC3L BIOS Version: A16 Intel HD Graphics 4000 I've been following these directions exactly. I'm using the bootpack for the E6430. When I boot to the USB, it begins to load, but very shortly into the process it stops and reboots at this stage: Any suggestions or advice? Anything at this point would be much appreciated.
