  1. It seems I've hit another wall trying to update to El Capitan. Using my working Yosemite Clover EFI I am running into a graphic error again. Freezes with an audio or bluetooth error depending on what bootflags im trying. I will try to keep future posts better documented/organized. Seriously just confused more than anything lol.

To clarify: this is happening when trying to boot el capitan installer.

  2. I grabbed the audio kext in the archive u shared and installed with kext wizard and now it looks like everything is working 100% I just need to check VGA/HDMI which i will do right now.

EDIT: VGA works. HDMI does not.

That's all I'm missing at this point! Getting there!

  3. Im assuming I do have full gfx acceleration, i'm not seeing any latency and no visual errors. I will try the faking kext. Any suggestions for audio? Also trackpad and keyboard work ok. Alt key acts as CMD key; windows key acts as alt key; and trackpad is very sensitive/jittery when moving it slightly. None of the keyboard/trackpad issues are a big deal, but bluetooth keeps nagging me about finding wireless inputs.

Figured out how to dismiss all the nagging stuff. Literally all i'm stuck on is the audio. OH, and now my battery readout is missing again.

  4. Hey everyone,

Over the past few days everyone has been helping me get this thing running. I just wanted to say thanks again for that. That being said:

    DELL LATITUDE | E5430 i3

    Processor: i3 2328m sandybridge

    Graphics: HD3000

Lan - UNKNOWN - non working - will update with more info

    Wifi Module: BCM94313HMG2L - BROADCOM - REPLACED WITH BCM43225HMB

    AUDIO: 92hd93 - non working

    1X HDMI - non working

    1X VGA - working

1X SD - non working - will update with more info

  5. Im not positive. I feel like I may have a pretty obscure e5430 or something. I'm on an i3-2328m. my video controller just says intel hd graphics but i think its 3000. I'm running in -x right now after activating AICUPM in clover and I crash after missing bluetooth controller transport. Which, from what I've read is related to my gfx.

Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. I went into this knowing it wouldn't be as easy as a desktop build but I have sunk so many hours into this at this point that I just want to get it over with

here is the mess i have so far.

I set up clover and partition for Sandybridge which I believe is what my microarch is. (according to jake's guide)

I have the 720p display not the 1600 display and don't know what to do about it.

    EDIT: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6372-dell-latitude-5x30-6x30-clover-install-guide/

I gave up on el Capitan and am trying this guide, and here im getting a KP too.

I feel like i am way closer to getting it to boot with this guide if anyone can point out what it is im doing wrong.

I'm sorry for all the questions I am leaving for school very soon and I need this puppy running mac. Getting desperate!

  7. I will post a pic when I get home, thank you Hervé!

Edit: With every post I make I realize how many mistakes I've overlooked.

    OsxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\boot.efi
Using reloc block: yes, hibernate wake: no
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is the problem I've been having I think. I will confirm when I get home and see if switching dimm slots helps me out.
Again, thanks for your patience everyone.

Edit 2: Peti, is your archive to be used as a bootpack? This is my first time not using unifail. I install clover then download the generic efi and combine your archive into it and putting DSDT.aml in the ACPI\patched folder. Is this correct or am I missing something? I would send a pic with my log but i'm not even confident that I have the boot loader configured properly yet

  8. following jake's guide, my machine crashes within 5 seconds of booting off mac installer. I have been building the installer using 10.6.8. I have an update to 10.7 running right now. I'm hoping that will help. I'm running out of ideas. I've spent a few sleepless nights already trying to get this thing running, using all sorts of different images. I still feel like I'm overlooking something very simple. If you have any suggestions i am all ears. Thanks again for your help and your patience.

  9. I don't know what I'm doing wrong at this point. Am I using clover wrong? I ran clover on a usb and copied the files from your archive to where they belong within it. Now it crashes immediately and made no progress.

using the clover files from savage's post i get to the apple loading screen with the progress bar but it halts once it is full. i think its a kernel panic

I feel like i must be missing something.

edit: i read jake's guide. i added your archive to jake's generic clover and now im still having no luck. i'm having a memory problem immediately after i try booting mac installer.

edit: omg are you on a vpro? my bad. im on the non vpro. sorry.

  10. hey savage. what version bios r u running? I put your clover and your config on my image and when it loads i am hanging up at like 80% thru the apple loading screen with the progress bar
