docking port , E-Port , Display Port graphics not working on dell E7450 laptop , el capitan
-> it is the small E-Port with 1x DP , the rear blue USB work, the side USB ones not
-> the mini Displayport on the laptop itself works
-> tried DP to miniDP , DP to DP , - screen black , laptop screen flickers ones

of course, 2 weeks after I deliberately got the 5th gen cpu, they support the 6th gen. pfft
do wanna see a dell with UHD screen running on el capitan -
note on LCD replacement,
- IPS instead of TN , more power consumption , down to ~5:40 on 40whr battery
- get a new bezel , since it has glue on the edges
- do like the Matte screen ,
questions:
- anybody got the skylake 6th gen CPU working ?
- since all the new E7000 series are now coming with 6th gen cpu's

update , replace lcd screen 1366x768 with FHD 1920x1080 LED IPS matte screen
- works , bios still A07
strange that at boot is locked up 3 x before it booted into OS X.
oh, dell just released today an A11 bios .
is there an way to extract the .rom file, since I'am not running windows, and in vmware it does not extract.
and should work flashing from usb or SD card

10.11.4 combo update, with new kext ->You need the new version of AppleHDA_ALC293.kext as noted in the Updates section of the guide.

tried 10.11.4 again, rebuilt caches via script
- no sound , wifi works

10.11.4 update , second boot , got up,
-> no sound , everything else same
went beck to 10.11.3
- my gigabit problem , might be old the airport extreme, ipv6 , have to try the AppleIntelE1000, 1000T full duplex, MTU 1500
- what kext files are for the touchpad , need to chase this one.
other ideas, to put a backup boot on the SDXC card, thing a UHS-II 64GB for speed, should even fit 2 different boot, or use it for backup.
- battery, initially said like 10hr, now after using it, it report 5hr+, seams to be more accurate now.
- they make different batteries, any recommendations think I got the 34whr

with dsdt.aml and ssdt 0,7,10 in patched directory , so those are un-modified , just an extract with clover ,
and I only need those, it extracts a bunch
that means I could use my unmodified dsdt and use A10 bios , have to try
for touchpad, 2-finger on the pad don't do scrolling, got to hold the middle button, then scrollng works, it's usable
ordered an FHD ips screen, let's see if that works
-- gigabit is painfully slow at times, good times is 700mb / minute , sometimes crawling, disabled wifi
when sneaker-net is faster, something is wrong
note: -> update your serial in config.plist
still need to find my docking station and test it.
- and test dual screen, 1x HDMI 2560x1440 1x miniDP 2560x1440 / 3840x2160
- laptop fan is not running, need to test, that is comes on and works

back to bios A07 , found it , switched disk, flashed it. -> thanks !
with first boot it locked up , second boot worked.
Fn 6 brightness works with karabiner
lid close, -> sleep ; lid open -> need to use power button to wake
sound works -> yeah , with hdmi cable it shows hdmi-sound
mini-displayport works
sd card reader works
webcam works
sound jack works, does that have microphone too !?
CPU now it shows i7 , while I have i5-5200U ,
if the DSDT.aml is patched , be nice to have notes for patching
clover fn 4 did dump all the dsdt - .aml files also have ssdt files
for touchpad, don't have scrolling or multi-touch
in vmware windows, don't have middle mouse click , need that for application.

copied ssdt.aml from me, and ssdt-7 and 10, from E7450_update
even copied dsdt.aml from E7450_update , but kp, locked up.
did have the OEM cpu flag to false
did not copy ssdt-0.aml not sure I need it, since I put in my ssdt.aml ?

right now , also copied dsdt.aml from my ssdtPRGEN directory
boots up, but no change I can see,
- no sound
- no lcd brightness
- no lid close, sleep
= sleep works
= graphics , screen saver is working, assuming qc/qi quartz working
= moving window seems responsive
my config file is in previous post

did try follow the guide.
- the download link for 1)universal bios backup toolkit 2.0- is not working, and could not find it with google,
bunch of phishing sites, etc ---> ok tried again, did popup mackeeper, ... second try got the .z file
- still think, 64MB shown, + 32MB = 96GB in DVMT is sufficient to boot. it did boot , install, not sure I need to mod it .
my bios is A10 , and tried with the dsdt.aml 's in patched , but it locks up at boot, just crashes, and I have different processor.
did not see A07 bios at dell

got to boot , I'am new to clover, desktop runs yosemite
E7450 , i5-5200U , 16mb mem, 500 sed, 1355x768 screen
notes:
- DVMT it's 64MB, not changed , since I could not find the universal bios backup toolkit 2.0
- did try it the e7450_update.zip - did not boot, deleted the patched .aml files to make it boot again
- for CPU , changed in config file to 0606
- got keyboard and touchpad working
- wifi working
- HDMI out working 2560x1440
- USB mouse, keyboard
- have not tried display port cable or docking station
not working, needs work:
- sound
- sdhc slot
- sleep lid close
- boot timeout, need to hit enter
- graphics, xbench shows 48, so graphics might not be working right,
- dual boot windows 8.1 , still need to install on second partition, not sure how to clone
- replace LCD screen with 1920x1080 LED IPS screen
- an apple/hack sticker
think this be a great laptop, files attached
appreciate any help / pointers/ comments

sleep - wake , bluetooth was lost after wake from sleep
- sleep , does some disk activity for 2-3 sec before actually going to sleep
- think it should be instant
