Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 22, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 22, 2018 That's information you should've given before I patched your files. I was just using the files you attached so no way to for me to know you have Kabylake HD 620 or 630 and ALC256. Glad you got it all sorted out. ChrisStocker
It was indeed a Sky Lake CPU with Intel HD 520. I mistyped on my last post. I have fixed the typing failure lol. The trackpad and keyboard aren't working again. I will try different kext versions out to see whats up.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2018 Can you place it to sleep and then wake it to see if Keyboard / touchpad work?
ChrisStocker
Keyboard does, but trackpad does not. Thanks for all your help on this. I am just getting into the laptops. CLOVER.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2018 So keyboard and touchpad were working after first install? But stops after...? Follow instructions from here to debug issue gen_debug -sysprofile
ChrisStocker
Nice Yes, they were both initially working fine. Seems after a Sleep/Wake and then a Reboot I lost them both. debug_17286.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 23, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 23, 2018 Can you try changing "Inject" kexts to "Detect" in the Config file? Reboot a couple of times and see if there's any difference after that.
ChrisStocker
I gave that a try. No difference on boot up or returning from sleep. I installed the 3 voodoo kexts into S/L/E and the keyboard is now functioning properly. I noticed on startup that the voodooI2c controller was going to a sleep state. debug_1077.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 28, 2018 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2018 VoodooI2C & VoodooI2CHID are meant to be in /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other, not /S/L/E. Since you installed it to /S/L/E, then you might have to remove AppleHPM.kext, AppleIntelLpssI2C.kext and AppleIntelLpssI2CController.kext By the way, I don't see VoodooI2CHID the kextcache.log. Did you leave it out? Add it and reboot. If still fails, try the attached DSDT. DSDT.aml.zip
ChrisStocker
VoodooI2C & VoodooI2CHID are installed in Clover/Kexts/others. I was just trying out multiple versions. This latest DSDT edit has the trackpad up and working again. You obviously worked your magic as usual. I will keep testing. Thanks mate.
