LunaOsx420
Installed no problems on Dell Latitude D830 with Core2Duo and nVidia Quadro NVS 135M - both Yosemite and El Capitan run awesome but then I installed Sierra nice but I suddenly have NO Wifi but Ethernet works fine ? My question is did the good old rotten Apple people change something or what as I am banging my head on this one. Any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks ! Administrators Hervé Posted January 13, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 13, 2018 We're not going to be able to help unless you state your wireless card model... https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2120-inventory-of-supported-and-unsupported-wireless-cards/ If you have a BCM431x of some sort, these were dropped in Sierra. LunaOsx420
Dam in fact its a Broadcom Corporation BCM4312 802.11a/b/g (rev 01)so likely a no go is it possible to rebrand it? This laptop is just a tester anyway but could you recommend one that would make an awesome rig in the near future to run High Sierra on without effort. Thanks You Rock Buddy
Administrators Hervé Posted January 15, 2018 Administrators Share Posted January 15, 2018 BCM4312 is one of those cards no longer supported; there is no workaround. It's not a matter of (re)branding, there are no drivers for those Brooadcom chips and older drivers do not work under Sierra.
