ianinsane
I'd like to update my E6220 from an excellently working Yosemite to Sierra. But since it's the laptop that I rely on for my daily work, I am super careful. Is there any standard procedure how to backup the system so I can easily restore it if something goes wrong with the Sierra update? I haven't found anything on the forums so far, but maybe I've been looking in the wrong places...
Administrators Bronxteck Posted February 17, 2018 Administrators Share Posted February 17, 2018 from recovery you can clone your existing drive using Disk Utility. after that mount your existing efi and also transfer it to the cloned drive or a usb stick then test it to make sure all is fine.
