Stuard
Hey There, First off thanks to Jake Lo, and all other contributors to these awsome guides. Fairly new here and successfully install Sierra onto E7440 i7. Bit of trouble with built in audio, but via HDMI to external Monitor - No Problems. Still work in process with replacement AppleHDA_ALC292.kext Issue started after trying to get Internal BT working. Have the DW 1510 installed so WiFi all good but read somewhere else that to get Bluetooth Working, you can install the old non supported Intel WiFi/BT Card in the unused WWAN/Msata slot. I did this, then after boot to logo, screen fades to black. Thats It, no more built in display I am able to use the HDMI out, and goes to Dual Screen mode. I can choose Mirror in Display Options. Built in Display is Detected, but just no output. If i do scaled, and change resolution from 1920x1080, still nothing. Card has been removed, copied over intel HD Display kexts again, Reset the cached kexts. Any other Ideas.... Please ??
Moderators Jake Lo Posted May 1, 2018 Moderators Share Posted May 1, 2018 what intel HD Display kexts? is it patched or vanilla? have you tried Fn+Insert to increase brightness, perhaps it's just been dimmed?
Stuard
Hi Jake, Thanks for fast reply, Fn + Ins - No Change. I have used the FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext From the E7440_A20.zip It had been working Spot On, just putting the Intel Card in WWAN Slot may have upset something. Also forgot to add, went through and BIOS to default again, then did changes again as per guide .
