Frits
Hey guys I've been running a very stable install on Mojave 10.14.3 (thanks to this forum) but have recently run into an issue when trying to update to 10.14.4. I've updated clover to the latest version before updating but the boot seems to freeze on bpfAttach 30 and I have no idea what it means. When googling I found that some people had this because of nvidia cards but since I only have integrated graphics this isn't possible. I've attached a picture of the point where it hangs. If anyone knows what's going on or how I could fix it I would be really grateful.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 5, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 5, 2019 probably video. Go to Clover Option, change fakeID / ig-platform-id to 0x12345678 Once you get system up, rebuild cache and boot regularly
Frits
Thanks for the reply! I've tried to set fakeID and ig-platform-id to 0x12345678 but it's still stuck on the bpfAttach message. I do think you're right about it being the graphics though since the brightness of the screen changes when it reaches this point. I've attached a picture with my settings. Edit: I've tried some other things like disable the wifi card in the bios but it still hangs when the screen brightness changes. The message seems to change though. Moderators Jake Lo Posted April 9, 2019 Moderators Share Posted April 9, 2019 Try updating your usb installer with latest Clover and kexts, then boot the USB installer and then select the internal drive to boot
Frits
Thanks a lot. That worked flawlessly! I've attached my efi folder if other people with a latitude e5570 have trouble updating or installing. EFI.zip EFI.zip
