pblwzrd
Hi, I got a bigger SSD for my hackintosh. Before I get started I was wanting to know if there were any watchouts specific to this system? I also did not see a bootpack for my system to use with mojave. Which one should I try? Is APFS recommend or not? Any Tips or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks, DJ
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 1, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 1, 2019 Since you didn't include any specs about the system, I'm assuming this is a Broadwell system with HD 5500. Intel wifi is not supported if it has that and will need to be replace with a supported card like DW1560. For Mojave, you'll have to install with APFS, there's no way around it. Only way to use HFS with Mojave is cloning a working system into an HFS+ formatted drive. You can follow my Clover guide and use the attached bootpack, files contents go into /EFI/Clover replacing the old after installing Clover. 3450_Mojave.zip
pblwzrd
Sorry Jake I got ahead of myself as usual. Thanks for being patient with me and for making the mojave bootpack. I really appreciate it. I'll report back with any questions or once its completed. Thanks, DJ
