snoop_dogg
Hello, I have managed to hackintosh my Dell (Skylake, 6300U, Integrated graphics) and it works quite well, except for this somewhat crucial functionality: Sleep. While the computer does get into the sleep mode, it does take some time and once i try to wake it up, no matter how much time has passed, the system just restarts. This also occurs when I close the lid, let it go to sleep, and then open the lid - restart. What is interesting however, is that if i let the computer go to sleep by itself (due to inactivity), I am actually able to go back to the system without rebooting. From what I hear this could be caused by my wifi card (Intel, but i am using a USB wifi card with Realtek chip until I get an internal Broadcom one) or by Bluetooth. I tried to apply some kext's related to this problem but none of them seemed to have helped. I am quite new at this but so far I managed to fix every little problem I had except for this one. I am uploading my debug archive in case someone can assist me with this. Any help would be appreciated. debug_26947.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 21, 2019 Moderators Share Posted September 21, 2019 Remove AppleHDA.kext, not sure why you have it there with AppleALC.kext Remove SMCHelper-64.efi since you're using VirtualSMC. Only needed for FakeSMC.kext Delete nvram.plist
snoop_dogg
Hi again, apologies for a late answer. I did what you asked but I am unsure if it did anything. Sometimes the sleep works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes i get kernel panics shortly after wake. I suspect it is related to USB configuration, as the kernel panic log mentions: "Stackshot Reason: Wake transition timed out after 180 seconds while calling power state change callbacks. Suspected bundle: com.apple.iokit.IOUSBHostFamily. Thread 0x11e34. Failure code:: 0x00000004 00000027" I must admit that the USB wifi is a bit flakey too, it always disconnects when i wake the laptop from sleep and sometimes it even disconnects randomly while I am working. It also doesn't remember any wifi profiles at all which results needing to type out the password every single time i open the lid. Now i am unsure if its caused by a faulty driver (it is made specifically for Mojave though) or once again, my USB configuration. Thanks again for your work out there.
