Tengokuu
I've been procrastinating about asking this question for months now, and it's finally getting on my last nerve. There's an issue I'm having with sound and its about it being way too loud. On max, it feels like my speakers on my D820 are about to blow up, and on the lowest setting I can still hear it very well. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this issue? Thanks.
sipart
Have the same issue on a D620 - pressing either volume up once from mute or press mute button again after muted so only one 'square' shows in on-screen volume bar and its too loud for lowest volume. Seems to be an OSX 'issue': http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=9986920#post9986920 Perhaps this could help?: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20110730172909171 update: tried the scripts and created them as apps - muted the sound and ran the + app once and volume straight up to the normal 'loud' quietest volume - even adjusted increment to 1 and also tried 0.5 - makes no difference the lowest volume is still loud?! hepto
If you install Soundflower and set that as the system Output, then use Soundflowerbed to route it to the internal card then you can go into Audio Midi Setup and set the card to something like half the volume it is now. So this means that every 'notch' on the volume is only half on the actual card, if that makes sense.
