Johnnyquickfix
HI Jake, is there any way to make your latest E6530 EFI work on an E6430s (which is essentially an E6330 with a bigger screen)? I've tried everything and frankly I'm about ready to rip my hair out at the root.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2020 Try this for E6430 with BIOS A24, might work on your E6430s E6430_OC_0.6.2.zip
Johnnyquickfix
It booted all the way to the graphics loader, then I got this screen. If memory serves, this has something to do with the frame buffer but I'm not sure how to change it in OpenCore. Should I post my clover config? Would that help? Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 15, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 15, 2020 What's the display resolution? What version of BIOS are you on?
therealsquirrelman
1366x768, Bios A16. the E6430s is essentially an E6330 with a bigger screen. I’ve also used E6430u boot folders in the past. I’d modify myself but I have no idea what I’m doing in opencore and clover doesn’t work right. I can boot in clover, but have no touchpad or keyboard no matter what kexts I use. Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 16, 2020 Moderators Share Posted October 16, 2020 Here, replace these 2 files. It configure for lower resolution. Clover would be easier to configure. Not sure what you did for touchpad / keyboard to not work. You need an Alps touchpad kext by Dr. Hurt which can be found here in our forum. If it still doesn't work right, then you'll need to export you vanilla ACPI files, I'll patch it for you. Since you still have Clover, it's easy to export. Just boot to Clover and press F4. It'll be exported to /EFI/Clover/ACPI/Origin. Compress that folder and attach it here. E6430_lowRes.zip
