Ipecac
Hello! First, thank you all for a great community! Now, I followed the tutorial on this site on how to install OS X Lion 10.7.3 on my Dell Latitude D630 and it works great, except for one thing: networking. Wifi is totally broken, and ethernet is painfully slow. I read somewhere that my Wifi card, Intel ® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN, isn't compatible with OS X. Is it possible to swap wifi card, and if so, could you recommend me a card that should work? Ethernet works but it only handles like 5 kb/s at max. The ethernet card is a Broadcom 57XX Gigabit Integrated Controller (sorry if this isn't specific enough). I managed to download EDP 3 but unfortunately it did not solve any of my network problems. I am very thankful for any advice! Cheers
Administrators Syonagar Posted June 17, 2012 Administrators Share Posted June 17, 2012 Dear Ipecac, I've swap my intel wifi to DW1510. It worked straight away out of the box and i have no complaint since I haven't really noticed that my ethernet card is slow. Does it transfers faster when you try from other oses? Cheers! Ipecac
Hello Syonagar! Thank you for your recommendation, it sounds much promising and I will look further into that As for the ethernet card, the problem showed to be a bad cable. Embarrassing!
