I have now tried to boot from chameleon rc5 of the USB drive with -v There is so much info It ends with Mac OS version: 10A432 Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 10.0.0 Fri Jul 31 22:46:25 PDT 2009; root :xnu-1456.1.25~1/RELEASE_X86_64 System model name: MacBookPro4.1 System uptime in nanoseconds: 20598092873 Just before it says: Panic(CPU 0 caller 0xffffff7f8065e6a3): "CPU 0 has no HPET assigned to it"@/SourceCache/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement/AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement -90/pmThread.c:164 Debugger called: <panic> Backtrace (CPU 0), Frame : Return Address 0xffffff802fd03e50 : 0xffffff8000204ae6 0xffffff802fd03f50 : 0xffffff7f8065a6a3 0xffffff802fd03fa0 : 0xffffff800023eb7 kernel Extensions in backtrace (with dependencies): com.apple driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement(90.0.0)@0xffffff7f8065a000->0xffffff7f80671fff BSD process name corresponding to current thread: Kernel_task Then it stops Edited February 20, 2011 by Rascal

rayray88
I was getting the same errors as you. This got it working for me. I got a dsdt from the DSDT Collection page and then placed it in the /Extra folder and now RC5 works. Make sure to download the right .aml that corresponds to your chipset. Hope it works. Administrators Bronxteck Posted February 27, 2011 Administrators Share Posted February 27, 2011 nice to hear that worked.. but those dsdt's in the collection page are unmodified system bios dumps.. the edp packages have the correct modified dsdt.aml files those are the one's to use.
