My day job is programming, mostly in Linux, where I write ridiculously specialised c++. I work for a chip designer in Cambridge, England, and my software helps to design the brains of your next mobile phone.

I first built this hackintosh a little over three years ago, though I haven't really done much in terms of dsdt and kext setup. (Initially I was using "efi-x" but when that inevitably broke down I found myhack was a convenient alternative.) Truth be told, I now mostly use an actual MacBookPro, but I keep the desktop around because it's faster at 3D, and there are occasions when I want to have more than one computer going at the same time (I help run a summer holiday for teenagers http://xf.org.uk/ and we do lots of video editing on Final Cut).

Anyway the reason I'm registering here now is that I updated from Lion 10.7.0 to 10.7.4 (because the software i want to run is starting to require the latest and greatest) which has mostly worked, but left me without networking... but that's a discussion for another thread.
