notbanksy
Hi guys I'm new to this hackintosh business, but my G4 is now redundant, so I've picked up a D430 with the purpose of making a hackbook. I've managed to install from the 10.6.3 install DVD using a USB optical drive, and it boots up fine. BUT, wireless doesn't work, which is what led me to this site. After trying several fixes, including iwidarwin and EDP, I keep encountering the same problem. Installing the drivers either does nothing, or makes the OS unbootable (I get the black screen and the hard reboot message.) My machine is reconditioned, and fitted with an intel wireless card which I think may not be standard, and I also think it might be the cause of some of these problems. Any advice welcome Thanks in advance.

notbanksy
yes Intel wifi is not supported by osx.... That's a bitch! Thanks for the reply Bronx. Have installed Ubuntu as a second best, until I can lay my hands on the factory wifi card for this machine.
