In particular those posts / articles related to the Dell D630 and installing OS X. I have built hackintoshs before in the past using desktop hardware but this is my first crack at doing it to a laptop. I have a purchased copy of OS X Lion and have successfully converted the dmg file to an image file using my Gentoo Linux desktop. I no longer have my hackintosh desktop due to a "catastrophic failure" and as such was curious if I could perform the necessary install steps against an image file without an already functioning OS X computer. As mentioned before, I have a OS X Lion image (.img) file that I can mount and read / write files to on my Linux computer. What modifications are necessary to the image file that I have in order to make it a bootable and installable OS X Lion "distro" to my D630? Is this approach do-able?
