Slyder42
already have an Inspiron 530s and didn't want to install a 610, what can be changed in the boot.plist to get a GeForce 210 to work and register correctly? I have been trying to find the correct string for it and can't figure it out. It is NOT the ASUS silent card, but a different brand with 512MB. Administrators Hervé Posted June 25, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 25, 2015 GeForce G210 normally works with a simple GraphicsEnabler=Yes. If the card still does not register, you may have to patch your DSDT to add the card's details. You'd 1st extract the data from the output of IOREgistryExplorer app.
Slyder42
I got the thing to boot finally... having a kid running around makes it hard to sit down and hack stuff. PCIRootUID=4 GraphicsEnabler=Yes BIOS 22 SATA running Legacy We'll see what happens now.
Administrators Hervé Posted July 19, 2015 Administrators Share Posted July 19, 2015 You would not need that PCI root parameter setting unless the UID of Device PCI0 was set to 4 in the default DSDT and, afaik, I don't believe this is the case on the Vostro 200 and/or the Inspiron 530s. You should only need option GE=Yes with a GeForce G210.
