MatteoDC98
Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and do not even know if I published topic in the right place. I want to buy a Dell Optiplex 755 with -Core 2 Duo 2.6 -4GB RAM -160GB HDD standard (used) as I sell it with Windows 10, but of course I'd like to put OS X do you recommend buying? I have a PC with OS X Maveriks virtualized VMware, are new in the world hacintosh and I would ask you an opinion. I saw that the best are the Core 2 Duo 2.4, the Core 2 Duo and Quad 2.8, but no one talks about what I've seen of 2.6 so I turn to you for advice. I purchased a Dell Latitude D630 with Intel Centrino (Intel Core 2 Duo T7500) and Intel graphics card, but I have not managed to put OS X Snow Leopard I also need someone to help me step by step to create the key. I know there is to be included in it the EXTRA, but I do not know exactly where it should be placed. maveriks gives me some trouble to make the key (I've seen trying in vain with the Latitude D630 how can I do? help me please! sorry for my English
owbp
All Core2Duo CPUs work well, so no need to worry about that. Optiplex 755 works great with Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite so what OSX would you like to install on it? The only thing is, Q35 Express Graphics isn't supported so you'll have to buy some cheap Geforce (GT210, GT610, or older GT220 and so on...) to get QE/CI graphics acceleration. Regarding your Dell D630, have you tried this guide? https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1643-dell-d630-mountain-lion-install-guide/

owbp
Ok, i'll paste this guide for you so you can decide what OS X you want to install http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla-os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-yosemite/ This is with Chameleon boot loader, I'm still trying to figure out how to make Yosemite Clover, but ML and Mavericks work great with Clover too, same kext as with Chameleon. You can download Bootpack from this forum for Optiplex 755 with working kexts, smbios and boot.chameleon.plist, but since i never found any use for some kexts from bootpack, ill attach my combo of kexts for Mavericks and Yosemite. ML needs only FakeSMC (AppeIntelE1000e and VoodooHDA at post install for LAN and sound). You'll need to patch AppleRTC for CMOS reset fix. And maybe add efi strings for GT210, but it should work OOB. In BIOS load default settings and then enable Intel Speedstep, but only for Yosemite you'll have to put SATA Controller on ATA or Legacy. For ML and Mavericks it should stay on AHCI. Feel free to ask if there is anything confusing you. P.S. This topic should really be moved to appropriate sub forum. MatteoDC98
Hello, I already have Yosemite downloaded from the app store for the Dell 630 after discovering that he was a intel graphics and so I could not install it, I downloaded using Maveriks virtualized on VMware. I have not, however, the installer Maveriks as to put it on the virtual machine I followed a video that was offering a folder ready for use without installation. so I'd put Yosemite, so as to have a MAC "updated". I still need someone to tell me specifically what to do because I am a little embarrassed to Mountain Lion .. I have a copy of Niresh12495, it might serve. EXTRA they will put him where? How can I move the post?
