Guest bnplz
I followed the wiki to a "T" trying to install Lion with myhack but have had no success. I boot the usb but when I select the myhack installer for Lion the screen goes black and the machine just reboots. I tried using-v but it does the same thing and I can't tell if there was a panic or something else. Any suggestions?
Administrators Bronxteck Posted November 12, 2011 Administrators Share Posted November 12, 2011 install the latest chameleon to your my hack usb or use the one provided.... and use the kextpack for your model and graphics
Guest bnplz
I used the chameleon included in the latest myhack but it wouldn't load the installer, so I used rc2 v5 1213 and that worked to install lion. But it would kernel panic everytime after that so I can't get to the point where I can install edp 2.1.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted November 12, 2011 Administrators Share Posted November 12, 2011 look in the extra folder and see if you have a com.apple.boot.plist or org.chameleon.Boot.plist.... if you have org then you need chameleon 2.1 svn. Guest bnplz
I just installed lion using the latest myhack and now i'm trying to edit the plist file for the Setup Assistant, but every time I try to boot into single user mode it freezes at the boot prompt and I can't type anything. If I boot from the usb stick I can type in terminal but I can't edit the internal HD from the usb stick. Any suggestions as to why it would do this? Administrators Bronxteck Posted November 29, 2011 Administrators Share Posted November 29, 2011 single user mode will work with a usb keyboard but you have to boot with it plugged in.
