xservat
Hi all, I eventually got an acceptable system (10.11) in a I5-4310U E5540 and HD-4400 graphics. I also changed the intel wifi card with a Broadcom. For sound I use VoodooHDA. I need to correct any problems in the system:1) Do not work the battery status2) Speakes sound, but I do not get sound through headphones output (perhaps requires Voodoo settings in the System Preferences panel)3) Problems with iMessages to validate AppleID Any idea that can guide me?Thanks to all
Moderators Jake Lo Posted February 29, 2016 Moderators Share Posted February 29, 2016 Upload your bootpack (EFI Clover or Extra) and system's specs. There should be a patched AppleHDA already for this system. Also export IOReg using this Compress all before attaching using 'More Reply Options'. Install kexts in /kexts/LE to /S/L/E or /L/E Remove VoodooHDA and AppleHDADisabler Repair permission and rebuild cache. E5540.zip
xservat
Hi Jake, With your steps I get Battery Status working !!! But: I have not sound and appear the warning "AppleHDA_ALC292.kext is not installed properly. Try again". I'm tried with both easykext & KextWizard with no results... No sound devices appear in Control Panel... BUT: after removing VoodooHDA from S/L/E, the VoodooHDA settings icon appear in Control Panel yet. Could you give me some light? Thanks a lot !!! Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 7, 2016 Moderators Share Posted March 7, 2016 Make sure you have the vanilla AppleHDA in /S/L/E, if not you'll need to restore it. Also make sure AppleHDADisabler is removed as well if it's there. You can remove Voodoo preference from preference by right-clicking and select remove.
