E7440: Cannot sleep

I tried resetting the BIOS but no luck. I observed one more thing, while it's being booted and lid is closed, it's not being detected by OS. It can't even wake up from sleep by opening the lid in this case but it's not the case when lid is opened while booting. Is there any way to manually trigger the detection after booting? or I can give you any log or something.

Your patch worked and now it gets to sleep with power adapter. Thank you.

Ok, I was able to replicate your finding. Looks like the internal LCD is not being detected when booting off HDMI with LID closed. Consequently opening the LID causes the system to reboot.

I'll see if I could find a solution and report my findings.
