xcore007
Hi everyone, I recently got a hold of a Dell 6430u. I thought it would be kinda cool to have macOS on it, but i have some questions regarding the instalation. Specs of the important stuff attached bellow. I have read some guides and already ordered a new wireless card. other than that it seem to be the same as Jake Lo's in his guide. My question is can install Sierra on the fresh formated drive or i need an early version of mac OSX, and what bios version i need to be in? Other than that just by reading the guide, it seems pretty straight forward. Any other tips will be greatly appreciated. Thank You! Administrators Hervé Posted June 21, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 21, 2017 Moving to the non-E forum section... You don't need an earlier OS X version to begin with, no. I invite you to consult the other 6430u topics found in this section where you'll find indication of the highest BIOS version to use (I think it's A06). Use the forum Search facility on "6430u".
