  1. Hi qngage, If your touchpad and keyboard are working then no other kexts are needed. Unless, you don't have multi touch(2 finger scrolling etc). Try replacing the VoodooPS2Controller.kext in /Extra/Extensions with one from this thread and run myfix. Some of these may be hit and miss with the E6330, sorry I can't be more specific, I haven't got round to trying these latest revisions yet. Cheers
  2. Hi qngage, Can't say I've seen that before! What happens if you plug a USB mouse in? What are you using for touchpad/keyboard kexts? Cheers
  3. Nice one, thanks Jake. Have already got this, will patch it for external mic(if not already done) and try it when I get around to upgrading to 10.9.2. Cheers
  4. OK, had some time to test iMessage and the rolled back network kext. And I'm happy to report that everything is working nicely for me now! So v2.0.0a has fixed my ethernet in that it doesn't sit around 'resolving host' anymore when I'm viewing webpages. Thanks for all the input Next up, clone my disk and try the update to 10.9.2(in a few days probably) Cheers
  5. But chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) has been nowhere near this installation! I have only used chameleon...... I've also now rolled AppleIntelE1000e back to v2.0.0a as the latest version still had issues for me. Will continue to test this version to see if it is any better for me. Cheers
  6. Finally, iMessage is signing in! I had tried 2.5.4d before and I'm now running it again. I also downgraded FileNVRAM.dylib to v1.1.2. Went through the process of removing all network interfaces from network prefpane. I noticed that even though BlueTooth DUN was not listed, it still showed in the service order. So I added BT DUN and then removed it again. Now it doesn't show it service order. Deleted networkinterfaces.plist from Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration. Reboot. Add ethernet back in network prefpane as EN0. Then, on my iPhone, changed my AppleID password and added a card for payment. Signed back into iMessage, Facetime, iCloud, AppStore etc on iPhone first. Then sign into iCloud, iMessage, Facetime, AppStore etc on hackintosh. It now logs in but I haven't managed to test it yet. Hopefully it'll be OK. Thanks for all your help guys. Cheers
  7. I hadn't, but after trying still no joy unfortunately. Thanks anyway.
  8. Still no joy. My ethernet was EN0 and wifi EN1 but I deleted all network device in network prefpane anyway. Applied changes. Added ethernet. Applied changes. Added WiFi. Applied changes. Made sure ethernet was first in service order. Still get the "Your Apple ID xxxxx can't be used to set up iMessage at this time. Contact support". Frustrating as I had this working on MountainLion(I think I used chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) then though which I may try again even though I would rather not!).
  9. Thanks, I have done that and it appears to have replaced the kext in myHack.kext/Contents/Plugins. Not sure if there is any improvement yet, will test over the next few hours. Still can't log in to iMessage though.
  10. Hi all, I'm currently running 10.9.1 on a shiny new SSD(Samsung 840 EVO) which I've installed from scratch and got most things running without too much hassle. But, I'm having an issue with the LAN and iMessage. I cannot sign into iMessage at all although iTunes, AppStore and iCloud seem fine. I've updated to latest Chameleon and installed the FileNVRAM.dylib file, still no joy. This could be related to the LAN problem I suppose. Although the LAN works, and once transferring data it seems OK speed wise, there always seems to be a few seconds wait before it does anything. It could be performing DNS lookups or maybe Mavericks is powering it down to save energy(I'm running on mains) and has to wait for it to power up again? Anyway, I've tried to update the AppleIntelE1000e.kext but no matter what, it always loads the version from S/L/E/myHack.kext/Contents/Plugins. Am I safe to delete this kext in the plugins folder and put a new version in E/E? Or should I replace the one in myHack.kext with the new one? Any help appreciated. Cheers
  11. I'm currently using the RehabmanMerge kext from this thread which works nicely. There are later versions being developed by some clever people here so you may want to try them too. As for the battery kext, check back in this thread for links to JakeLo's Extra folder, they contain battery kexts that work perfectly on the E6330. Cheers
  12. I had a go with your HDA kext but it was the same, no external mic. I modified the verbs for external mic but it still didn't work. Possibly because of the layout used from DSDT? I don't have much time to spend on this now as I'm going on holiday tomorrow! Sherry, from memory, I think after Bluetooth, OS X then loads your graphics. What have you in DSDT and graphics kexts? Also, I assume you have a E6330, what CPU do you have? Cheers
  13. This is it, but the external mic won't work. InsanelyMac Credit to TUX FIRE. Hope that helps!
  14. This is my current version. Cheers Edit: Have re-uploaded kext. AppleHDA-E6330.kext.zip
  15. Yep, I had quite a few attempts at getting VGA working without success. I think Jake posted somewhere that it is impossible on E6X30 laptops. I have fixed AppleHDA though. I have this working nicely on Mavericks. After trying Jakes HDA for E6430 I found a slightly different one on InsanelyMac(which enabled ambient noise reduction on internal mic). I then enabled LineIn on this which fixed the combo port. But, the Mic/LineIn has really low sensitivity. So, once I have played around some more with that I will post the kext if anyone is interested. Cheers
  16. Yep, I used 0205 for revision id 3. Cheers 03 00 66 01 01 02 04 02 00 00 00 04 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 40 10 07 00 00 10 07 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 03 00 00 02 00 00 00 30 02 00 00 02 05 00 00 00 08 00 00 06 00 00 00 03 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00 04 06 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00
  17. Indeed I did need to modify AppleIntelFrameBufferCapri. As you suggested, I didn't bother with VGA, just hex edited to enable HDMI audio. Now it works! It doesn't automatically switch over to it when I plug the HDMI cable in but that is no biggie. Just need to figure out the external mic and I'll be there I think. Cheers again
  18. Jake, I've looked through the kexts and the codec ID's are the same(0x111d76df or 287143647). Would you know why external mic and HDMI audio don't work? Different verbs, pathmaps or DSDT edit needed? Do all audio ports work for you? Cheers
  19. Jake, I've tried your AppleHDA from your bootpack and it does indeed work well! The volume slider syncs up and speakers, headphones and internal mic all work. The external mic from the combo port doesn't work though, and HDMI audio is also not working. Interestingly though, when looking in system profiler, the hdmi audio and external mic are listed, they just don't work when plugging something in. I'll have a look through your kext and check with my current workings on AppleHDA to see if I can get these to function. Cheers
  20. To get bluetooth working on my E6330 on both Mountain Lion and Mavericks I had to edit IOBluetoothFamily.kext/BroadcomBluetoothHCIControllerUSBTransport.kext and add my device ID's into the info.plist. (On Mavericks it is IOBluetoothFamily.kext/BroadcomBluetoothHostControllerUSBTransport.kext) Is yours a Broadcom(Dell Wireless 380) Vendor ID 0x413c Product ID 0x8197?
  21. Hi Jake, No I haven't yet, I'm still in the process of getting Mavericks fully functional on my 6330 so will try this soon. I think on Mountain Lion the volume slider on the menu bar didn't synchronise with other volume settings(ie keyboard buttons) so I switched to VoodooHDA. Will report back here once I've tried it. Cheers
  22. Thanks Bronxteck, swapping the antennae seems to have fixed the wireless N network speeds at home, in the office it is still pretty bad(although better). I think this is probably because of a cheap wireless access point here. Smeedy, yes I think that is right. I'm pretty sure my CPU reaches more P states when using MacBookPro8,2. Check with HWMonitor plugins or MSRDumper(or anything else anyone can recommend) to see which P states you are reaching. I haven't attempted the VGA patch as I currently have no need for it so I can't help there unfortunately. I am part way through patching AppleHDA though. Hopefully I can get this working and will share if I do! Cheers
  23. I also replaced my Intel wireless card with an Atheros 9280. It is picked up by OS X as an Airport Extreme and works OOB. But, I think this card does have some issues. I get very limited download speed when connected to a N network(0.5 - 1.0 mbps). When connected to G networks it is fine. Not sure if this can be fixed. Thinking might be better to get a Broadcom based card. I haven't used my laptop on battery much, but it does report 4-5 hours depending on what I'm doing. Haven't tested whether I actually get this or not though. Smeedy, what does you smbios.plist list as your SMproductname? Do you have SSDT and speedstep working? Cheers
  24. Nice one, thanks Gary. I will try the multifail method soon. I have a patched DSDT already but would be interested to see if yours differs much from mine. Cheers
  25. Hi Smeedy, I have the smart card and finger print reader on my E6330. But, I haven't tried to use any, and as I don't have any smart cards I cannot tell you if it works or not. I think it is picked up by Mountain Lion though(device 0x5801, unless that is something else?). Interesting you have gotten Mavericks running good Gary, I have struggled with myHack. May try the other methods, what are you using for audio? VoodooHDA? Cheers Andy
