  1. So to continue this dual graphics discussion… For a while I understood that with Optimus enabled, the m2000m and iGPU both appearing in system profiler was relatively meaningless because apps I was running couldn't utilize it (adobe photoshop and illustrator showed only iGPU). However, I'm now testing a prerelease version of adobe illustrator that adds "eGPU" support and the m2000m now shows up in performance settings in illustrator. In addition, geekbench does appear to allow access to testing both cards. What I'm now wondering is if there could be a way to "trick" the OS into thinking the m2000m is an eGPU to use globally or maybe it already does now that apple has added support, but I don't know what applications I could further test this with. Just, to me, some interesting observations. Obviously still a power drain, but has it's advantages and could be switched by simple restart. As a side note, I don't use Intelgraphicsfixup or Nvidia fixup as they both disable one or another external port.
  2. Does anyone have their USB-C 3.1 port working on their 7510? Display adapters seem to work fine through the port on mine, but I can't get any usb devices to show up in IOReg. USB Devices seem to be getting power, but that's about it. Is some sort of DSDT/SSDT methodology involving PCI0.RP05.PXSX needed? Edit: I've managed to get it working with the attached SSDT and DSDT hot patch, no hot-plug, connected on boot. Full disclosure: I found several versions for other dells and mixed together parts that seemed to make sense with my dsdt. There very well be much garbage code in the file. SSDT-TYPEC.aml.zip
  3. I'm running mine on Nvidia m2000m and it runs warm but I wouldn't call it "hot."
  4. ss2sameer or Jake Lo, I'm not sure what wifi you guys are running in your 7510s (I have the Intel Dual-Band Wireless-AC 8260) Have either of you had any luck with the bluetooth? For me it seems to load/function every 50th boot, or so it seems. As a note for other 7510s I also have black screen issues with my m2000m, but closing the lid and opening it does not fix them, seems like a luck of the draw on whether it boots all the way through to the login or just goes to black screen. I've tried dozens of things, but when it does load it, runs with full VRAM and acceleration. Another side note, the only SMBIOS I've been able to boot, of the several I've tried, is MacBookPro13,3 with Board-ID Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61.
  5. I feel like this comment was moved from another more relevant thread, so deleting copy.
