  1. Thanks for the reply. For corner tapping, I still can't get it work... For double-tap to drag window, I tried to tap faster or slower, on different position nothing helped :/ The only way I can drag a window is to use single-finger-press or double-tap on the icon which does not exist in every window but I can live with that since I set move the window under pointer while holding option key (using BTT) For disabling gesture, it works, just not for four-finger-tap I tried -1, 10(for the last version which only supports 9 gestures), 99 - none of them helped and I still get the four-finger-tap to toggle full screen mode feature, which is annoying and always being wrongly triggered when I want to do any four-finger-swipe gesture, this is really sad - basically I can't use any four-finger-swipe gesture. For numlock, I mean in 2.1.3 I can set numlock to be on at system boot, but I can't get the same feature work in 2.6 and the most strange part is, even after editing ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext/Contents/Info.plist (which will bring my keyboard down) I can still use the numlock to toggle the LED - which makes no sense since I can't type any character by any key on my keyboard - I had to use an USB keyboard to restore to 2.1.3 driver For Pinch zoom, I don't know why but it just stopped working. As I said 2.1.3 works fine with me... well, it doesn't hurt much since I don't like to use pinch zoom on a touchpad... For command key, yes. I exchanged command and ctrl in keyboard preference, then I set command key pos to 2 in driver plist file according to the document. For no sound after sleep, I'll check, thanks in advance. but I do need my microphone... I can't get enough volume with appleHDA, no matter what I do in sound preference... So in the end I guess I'll just live with voodooHDA... And as others reported, right alt key just stopped working. which means after exchange command and ctrl, I can't get left edge swipe gesture work (for space switch left/right, which I assumed to be a simulation of right ctrl + left/right arrow key? And yes, I disabled BTT while testing the new driver, although I don't think BBT as a software has something to do with driver and it worked fine with 2.1.3 - so now I just switched back to 2.1.3
  2. Thanks again for your hard work. I run into more trouble with version 2.6 I guess I'd better stick with 2.1.3 until next version coming out x_x What's not working: 0. ※ Any Edit to ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext/Contents/Info.plist will cause keyboard stop working. ※ at first I set Fnkeys Mode and Swap alt and windows key to false, my keyboard stopped working after reboot (I fixed permission using kext utility) I thought it could be my mistake, so I edited once again from the original (version 2.6) kext and only changed Fnkeys Mode to false - I have my keyboard stopped working once again... The keyboard won't work before or after login... it just doesn't work... and as soon as I change back to the unchanged file, I'm fine .___. I'll attach my edited version, please check what I'm doing wrong ;w; maybe I'm using the wrong editor? I used textwrangler, which is fine with all other stuff ;w; 1. Corner tapping doesn't work. Pointer never reaches the corner, just stops a few pixels from the edges. And it never returns to the position before I do corner tap :/ if this is really that hard, we can live with old returning to center style... 2. Sleep Display doesn't work (ASUSK56CM) I can use MENUKEY+F5/F6 to adjust the brightness, but I can't use F7 to sleep the display (yes, the keyboard and touchpad sleeps but my screen remains on. I have to hit escape key to get my keyboard and touchpad work again.) Since I do uses the MENUKEY(which identified as command key) a lot, I guess I just go disable the FN thing <- failed ._. For brightness adjust, your driver works fine. but since I decided to disable MENUKEY as FN key function, I have to find another way. I tried before to use a keyboard shortcut to do the brightness adjusting (With better touch tool, if you can't find it check my earlier reply) got no luck. so I think I'll just add a menubar icon to adjust brightness - which turned out a simple one you can get it free here: http://www.bergdesign.com/brightness/ 3. Double tap to drag on Windows doesn't work Just not working. I tried double tap on window, titlebar, titletext, even the buttons - I still can't use double tap to move a window. oh wait a minute... double tap on titlebar icon works. but not all the window have an icon bro... for example safari doesn't have one. and it's really not good to use that little icon... I'd rather stick with one finger hold to drag :/ 4. Four fingers tap This works, I just can't disable it. This is really annoying.... I can't do any other four fingers gestures like four fingers swipe because it always triggers the four-finger-tap - full screen switch first. Is there anyway I can disable this stuff? (yes I can disable four fingers press, but I can't disable tap...) 5. KeyBoardNumLockOn PinchZoom Doesn't work. However, vertion 2.1.3 has the same functions and worked fine with me... well, this is not really a big deal, I need numlock just to enter password, for pinchzoom I hardly use that. 6. FN key (MENU key, a.k.a the "APP" key) doesn't reconized by system as FN key. which means we can't use it to customize any keyboard shortcut ;w; is it possible to make FN key a "real" FN key? What's working: 1. Prevent accident input now works a lot better. Now it really works, not only movement but also tapping, edge swiping and other gestures are prevented while typing. This is really good. 2. Edge swiping works better. At first I thought it was harder to trigger than before, then I found out that I just need to swipe in a bit further to get it work - acturlly it triggers better than before. 3. Scroll smoothier This is now really feeling smooth! well done! [bUT!] have you tried two fingers scrolling in launchpad? it's feeling horrible ;w; What's not sure: 1. No more freezing (?) Like I said, this problem doesn't happen all the time, but so far I tried to type really fast, and switching between all my IME and in both OS X and Windows(VMware) I haven't run into the freezing problem with version 2.6 - maybe it's fixed, but I just can't be sure. 2. ALC ... blahblahblah I had a problem that my laptop speekers has no sound after sleep (I can still get sould from headphone) I'm not sure if this is the fix for this problem. But I've switched to voodooHDA driver from patched AppleHDA, which has no problem after sleep and I can get higher volume of my mic (I can hardly say my mic worked before... volume just too low) so for someone has the same mic problem, I suggest to switch to voodooHDA driver (If your mic doesn't work, try increase IMix, Recording Level and Monitor volume in voodooHDA preference panel for the microphone port. I recommend to set IMix to around 60%, the other two to 50%. You may get some noise but not really noisy, and you can get your mic with higher volume which makes it become useable) remember keep Input Gain MUTE!! ) - the only problem is while plugging in headphone, output won't automatic change. I have to hold option key then click on the menubar volume icon to manually select the output device, but that's not big deal and sometimes I do want to select output device by myself, so I just keeped it that way. What can be better: 1. Gesture for "Locked Drag" While dragging using a touchpad, it's really annoying if you can't reach the target because the touchpad isn't big enough. enabling drag lock can be a solution, but we don't really need drag lock all the time. so it could be better if we can just temporary enable drag lock with a special dragging gesture - like dragging with three/four fingers. It would be even better if you can make this gesture not only works as a locked drag but also works for dragging window below the pointer.(maybe just make the one-finger-hold-to-drag function to locked drag?) 2. Gestures as Keyboard shortcuts Maybe just use some shortcuts that will hardly be used by any application, for example: set a gesture using keyboard = num1 means that gesture triggers "CTRL+COMMAND+OPTION+SHIFT+NUMPAD1" ApplePS2Controller-no-function.kext.zip
  3. @DanN7 I guess you need to wait for next version, these new gestures don't seem to work on ver 2.1.3 @EMlyDinEsH Very strange... I haven't experienced any freeze these days :/ what can I say then... OK, I still have the freeze problem(I am having it right now). it usually happens when I'm using keyboard a lot (while I'm chatting with friends for most of the times I run into this problem) so I guess I still need a log or something... at first I thought it was caused by the IM application or IME I'm using, so I used windows version in VMware with both the IM and IME on OS X closed - and I got the same freeze issue.( I'm sure not caused by prevent accident input, I still get the pointer just don't move. if it is caused by pervert accident input, I should see no pointer (a.k.a cursor) on my screen right? and I tried to enable / disable this feature in both system preference panel and driver plist, no luck) prevent accident input works, but only for moving not for tap (no matter one finger or more) and other gestures... this is really bordering me. I had to disable edge gestures, and I tried to get four fingers gestures work but always run into triggering four fingers tapping (V4, full screen - and yes, I set for fingers tap to value 10 - which doesn't exist in 2.1 should be disabled, not working. tried -1 as well, no luck) But now I'm using VMware Fusion running Windows ThinPC for some windows application that I really need (which doesn't work with wine) - the problem is, the touchpad works fine in OS X, not in VMware. If I use window or fullscreen mode, I can use tap for left click normally, but no luck with two fingers tap for right click - to get right click work, I need to do: 1. tap 2. two fingers tap 3. tap again - then the context menu will show up. if I use unity mode, things just going worse - I can't even get tapping work - I need to press and hold for left click (which will be dragging in OS X ) and I can still get right click by the same way (which is unstable in unity mode, but it's a VMware problem) I've tested with my wacom CTH-670 tablet (which support multi-touch on Windows/OS X, I used it on my Hackintosh PC) and it works fine with VMware, so it's not a VMware problem. And for application-specific-gestures: if you can make gestures support for any keyboard shortcut, it will be possible via another free application called "BetterTouchTool" (official site: http://www.boastr.de ) check it, I think it will give you more ideas about how to define gestures
  4. I'm glad to hear that it works for you. unfortunately, I never use the buttons, I prefer two fingers tap as right click. And when it freeze, I tried a lot of things including holding the buttons (yes I've noticed mouse button could disable the touchpad) and nothing can bring it back so I had to restart to get it work again Still looking around but in fact it didn't happen for a while - 'cause I'm using my pc for these days (yes, I made my pc a hackintosh too ) I'll report back if I found any solutions.
  5. Thanks for your reply, I'm looking forward to the coming update! And... after tried 2.1.3 beta, I still have the problem that the touchpad might completely stop working at some point - I've really no idea what will cause that. at first it happened a lot while I'm chatting with my friend, I thought I just typed too quick or what? (but I still get my keyboard working fine :/) but the last time it happens while I'm just trying to install an application, it just stopped working right BEFORE I click on the icon .__. so I can't really say it's as a bug since I'm totally no clue. Is there some log file I can find? it might make no sense to me but I think if there is one, you should have a look at it. --- As i said, OS X has a native function to customize keyboard shortcut for nearly everything : System Preferences - Keyboard - (list on the left) Application Shortcuts - click on the add button, select an application, enter ANY menu title you want and give it a keyboard shortcut - voila! now you can have any function you like with your favorite keyboard shortcut So that's what I meant - if you can make it able to set any gestures to any keyboard shortcut, then it will be possible to make any gesture trigger any function in any application - that will be really awesome!
  6. Thanks man, this driver works pretty fine for my Elan V4 touchpad (on ASUS K56CM, Mountain Lion 10.8.3) I have to say that this is the best touchpad driver for hackintosh so far. Well, it's not recognized as a multi-touch device to OS X (which means it won't work for softwares which have there own multi-touch gestures) but it do make gestures work (by simulating keyboard & mouse actions I guess?) --- But I have some problems using this driver, sometimes my touchpad just stops working. move, tap and even the physical buttons won't work - it just freezes and I don't know why, and I don't know how to make it work again except for rebooting (OS X itself isn't freezing, I can still use keyboard to logoff and reboot) I tried disable the "Ignoring Accidental Input while typing" function, no luck. I'm now using 2.1 final driver, I can't clearly tell which one is newer - the 2.1 [final] or 2.1.3 [beta] ... I'll try 2.1.3 and report back later see if this bug still exist (I can't be very sure, since it doesn't happen everytime, but when it happens, it's really annoying.) --- As I said, it's not a "native" multi-touch device to OS X, could you make OS X think it's an native device so that we can use a lot programs' gestures? I think this is really really hard, but if you did it, it will be way-much-better than just simulating with keyboard & mouse actions. --- Well, if you can't really do that, I still have some ideas for simulating: 1. Application based gestures (check 4. down there as well I'm not talking about to support all the apps' own gestures, just an idea of using touchegg (multi-touch gestures support for Linux, I tried it with Linux Mint, it's really impressive) basically, you can define different actions for different applcations. for example, now "full-screen" gestures is acturally a keyboard action "command-control-F" which supports by most applications but not all - for example if I do this in finder, it will just take me to the "search this mac" page. 2. Corner tap for now, it just moves my cursor to the corner, and move it back to the center of the screen. it's not really big deal, but could you provide an option to let it remember the last cursor position when I tap on the corner and return it to that position instead of just put it in the center of the screen? 3. Drag I can use double-tap drag on nearly everything but not the window. I noticed there is an option to enable this but it's marked as V3 only, which I tried for my V4 device as well but didn't come up working. I sure can get tap-n-hold to drag a window work, I just need some time to get use to it. but it won't work any time - maybe just I'm not patient enough? 4. More Customizable (check 1. up there as well We can nearly do anything by the custome keyboard shortcut (which is an OS X native function you can find in system prefernce) - even supports application specificed shortcut (This sure is really useful!!) it will be awsome if we can customize each gesture for any keyboard shortcut. For example, Right Edge Swipe toggles notifition center by simulating a mouse click on the top right of the screen - this will only work if you can see the menubar ( and not working for everytime) if we give it a custom keyboard shortcut (using OS X native function) and then assign driver to simulate this keyboard shortcut when we swipe from the right edge, it will work much more better even in full-screen applications (I just tried it works great! OS X sure is the best OS,which at the same time I'm definitely sure Windows 8 is a piece of s**t) --- Thanks again for your hardwork on this great driver, and thank you for your patient of reading my reply XD
