  1. I'm reinstalling right now. I'll let you know when it's up. However, my ethernet is working. I just screwed up. And for the sake of my dignity, don't ask how..lol. Let's just say it helps to have the right end of the cable.
  2. Just noticed today that ethernet doesn't work either..
  3. Okay. I sent them a message with the attached files. Now, OSX was reporting BCM4310, at least I thought but I actually have an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205. It is my understanding that Intel cards ABSOLUTELY cannot be made to work. What is the best OOB card? Now this is a work laptop. I know I can add a card but I don't want to have to remove the other card. Is that possible on this laptop? Is there a place to add an additional card. My IT department also didn't include Bluetooth with this laptop. They told me I can add it if I wanted. Is there a combination card that works or is it better just to use a dongle...?? Also, is there a way to enable multigestures?
  4. I started from scratch and I got back to the setup screen but I still don't have keyboard or mouse. Am I using the right kext?? Edit: I finally have OSX loaded. I found two kext on osx86.net. I'll attach them in case someone else is having issues. End edit I have a BCM4310 wireless card. Do you know if anyone has had any success with this card? I also have no battery indicator. Is there something to fix this? I need to create an SSDT as well. I didn't have to do that on my last hack because I had a first gen i3 processor. This is new territory for me. OSX is installed. What is my next step?
  5. Thank you very much for your time. It is really appreciated. I re-downloaded Mountain Lion from the App Store (had it from a previous hack). Downloaded and installed myHack. Downloaded bookpack from here. Downloaded ApplePS2Controller.kext. Dropped kext into Extra folder downloaded from bookpack. Ran myHack pointed source to Mountain Lion app and destination to my 8gb usb drive. Everything installed fine. Ran myHack again, this time selecting the option to install "Extra". Selected option to install my own custom. Attempted to install. Got the the OSX setup screen but had no mouse or keyboard. Contacted the forum and you suggested to run myFix. I did so and my situation is now worst. I boot with verbose so I can see all of the kext loading. It doesn't KP anywhere it just reboots and never gets to the setup screen now.
  6. Well, when I created my Extra folder using myhack I already had the kext in my Extra folder. So when myhack installed my own Extra folder I assumed permission and cache update was taken care of. I try that.
  7. Sorry it has taken me so long to respond back. I'm just getting the laptop. I'm having the same issue. When I get to OSX setup screen I have no mice or keyboard. I tried the ApplePS2Controller.kext and I still have the issue. I haven't tried it without. The drive is plugged into the left rear port. Am I missing something?
  8. Please forgive my ignorance. I'm all to familiar with tonycrapx86's tools for running a hackintosh but no so much with this website's. What is the difference between the bootpack and the EDP? I've downloaded the bootpack and found a lot of familiar folders and files. What does the EDP do?
  9. I've had a desktop hackintosh that was custom built for the past 4 years. I've recently sold that machine and bought an iMac. My employeer is providing me with a Dell E6530. I want to run dual boot OSX ML. Here are the specs. i5-3340M Nvidia 5200M Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wireless card I see a bootpack for this machine but it's running an i7 3520 but with the same graphics card. Is the DSDT processor specific? I would guess not unless it has been modified in some way for speedstep. Any input would be helpful. This will be my first laptop hackintosh. Thanks.
