Hi, I have done some tests today. I created again a High Sierra USB key with terminal procedure and try several boot with different boot pack changing only ACPI /patched and config.plist. The folder kext is good tested. No more success, the key is in the patched folder and I have not the knowledge to patch it at this time.. So, if someone can patch mine which is in the first post or give me the way to do it .. many thanks by advance. PS : I have Sierra 10.12.6 running with everything (wifi, graphics, usb, etc ) if I can get information from it to help

No more chance with both of these boot packs. I think I will stay with Sierra. every E7450 seems to be different. The best result is described in the first post. as I said my cpu is i5-5300U

Many thanks Viking for help I just installed again Sierra 10.12.6 this weekend (on a small 64Go SSD) without any problem.so i am very surprised that High Sierra is so difficult to manage with... I will try your procedure as soon as possible. I was on the point to give up so let's try again

Hi viking yes I have been patient for more than 90 sec. You seem to have a quite similar configuration except I have a i5-5300U. Which boot pack did you use ? I have modified the DVMT in the bios with EFI Shell and this PC has been working with Sierra this summer. I have lost my backup with EFI folder so I need to re install all. so I just want to try high Sierra and no chance this time .....

I have already updated to A17 When i try with bootpack 840 disabled in non verbose mode it stay on the apple with the white progress bar not moving I can try tomorrow in verbose mode to get détails thank you for help

Hi Jake, Impossible for me to boot successfully on an USB stick prepared using the procedure on this site. I am disappointed I have tried several bootpacks with no luck. Only one is working "E7450_HD5500_Only_A17_HS", I modified it with nvidia disabled and during boot, it give the result attached to this post. Stuck during graphics initialize. My E7450 is equipped with a Nvidia Chip 840. I join the origin folder. Many thanks for help. Serge origin.zip

Hi Jake Lo, The bios i use is last one 1.17.3 i think. It seems it comes from the bios ACPI variables which have changed from 1.9.4. I have given up and sold it to a collegue using Windows without problems. Thanks for help. Has somebody tried to install sierra on Dell E5580 (last one) ?

Hi everyone, I am trying to install Sierra on a Dell latitude E5570 with i5-6440HQ, I have allready successfully installed a Dell E7450 but with the E5570 I am stuck. I explain: I have tried a lot off bootpacks without success. I have always the same problem. As soon as the system has booted on a USB key prepared with the good tool and the good boot pack (I mean a one permitting to boot in the Apple install menu just before formatting the disk), If I connect or disconnect the power supply from the laptop, the computer freeze and the only solution is to force power off. I am really disappointed and have no idea at all. I have tried several BIOS, reset BIOS to factory no more result. as the system is not installed at this point, that means that clover is not correctly set. setup_var 0x432 is set to the good value.
