yes booting to windows works.. I will try that. But shouldn't it see the windows partition?
-
No i did not. I expected to open disk utility and wipe the whole thing. Are you saying I can dual boot with my existing windows install? If so let me know how to format that. the bigger issue is the installer does not see the drive at all. But if I can do something and make another partition that will resolve this let me know how.

i did that and even reopened disk utility. DO i need to preformat the drive to get rid of windows?

I am trying to install high sierra

So my next issues is the nvme drive not showing up in disk utility. it is a samsung 950. Currently has windows installed and it shows up in the clover bootloader along with the macos install option. once in the installer i go to disk utility and it is not there to format.

So i am new to this whole thing. I think there may be some things I am missing. I have an E7270 i7 touch screen. I have seen some posts and I am sure there are some files I need to update but I cannot get an option to install osx when I boot to the usb drive. The partition is there when i plug the usb into a mac vm (high sierra install and efi partitions) My only option really is boot to windows efi partition attached efi folder from thumb drive thanks RJ EFI.zip

I get to the clover menu but there is no option to install high sierra. Followed steps here in post 5 https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-xps-clover-guide I have tried adding the boot pack from here https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/9179-dell-latitude-e7x70-clover-uefi-only/ i have tried this with EFI folder from clover install and from the generic EFI folder in the first link. Any advice?
