  1. I thought @Jake Lo did that with the DSDT. And about the Nvidia: It is obviously recognised by the System. What Changed from Sierra to High Sierra? How does this Process work? Does Mac OS has the drivers itself and thy changed? Maybe we can figure out a kernel patch to make it running?
  2. I noticed, that NV_Disable was active, so I assume, that it was starting in VESA Mode. That may be the reason, why it "worked". if I switch that flag of, it's not getting into the system. Is it worth investigating that further or it it not going to end anywhere?
  3. Thanks, well the bad new is: No SD Card Reader She Good News is: Nvidia shows up now! Whatever you did - it seems to be helpful. But it is without acceleration, but maybe we can get this working somehow. Now I reactivated Inject Nvidia and it shows the correct Card and RAM, but still no acceleration.
  4. Hi Jake, you are amazing! FixHeaders seem to do the trick - at least on the EFI I was using (attached). Another one I got from this forum still didn't work, but doesn't really matter. WLAN (DW 1702) wasn't working too, but I removed something that looked like a Bluetooth kext and now it's Up and running to. Still there seems to be a problem with sleep. If I close the lid, nothing happens. Screen stays on. Maybe it's also not waking up from sleep, since screen went dark after a while and it didn't came back on. Any Help for that? Oh, and as far as I remember one can get the Card-reader running on this machines. Any hint, how to accomplish that? EFI.zip
  5. Hi, I recently aquired an old E6530 wit i7-3740qm processor and an E6430 with i5 Processor both with NVS 5200m. While on the E6430 the EFIs i found here on several Threads worked with a little tweaking, I didn't get the quad-core machine (E6530) even close to running. In fact I get a Kernel Panic right from the beginning, no matter what I try. I'm going to think, that something is wrong with this machine. I attached the output. Maybe someone can give me a hint, what's going wrong here. thanks!
  6. Not sure about skl framebuffer. Haven't done anything on it. I tried this EDID stuff before, did never work for me. Got a boot error after I inserted it.
  7. Thanks a lot. I have still issues with brightness. While it worked not perfectly before, it now doesn't work at all. And after i close the lid, the screens stays black after reopening. Any Idea with this issue? debug_15119.zip
  8. Tanks, that helped - wlan is working now. but still lost Audio. debug_6025.zip debug_6025.zip
  9. Here it is. AlsoAudio seems to be not working any more. debug_5451.zip
  10. Thank you very much. unfortunately it did not help. Any other suggestions, what might be the Problem? Bluetooth shows up, but WLAN says "No hardware installed"
  11. Hi Jake, attached you find my DSDT/SSDTs thanks for the help, you are really very kind. I will make a Donation for your very nice Forum today Archiv.zip
  12. Hi, i finally purchased a new DW1560 WLAN Card. I belive I have everything in Place, but it doesn't show up. Here is my debug info package. I have no Idea, where to start to find out, why it is not working. debug_6823.zip
  13. Hey, thanks again - switched back to SATA temporarly, because next problem was, that the nvme produced corrupted filesystem, so i have to find out, what causes this error, before moving on. I come back to this thread.
  14. Any further suggestions? I feel like I'm going around in circles.
  15. Sorry, yes I'm using NVMe now. wrote that in the previous post, but it looks like auto correction messed it up. I tried your files but booting hangs (see picture) Oddly seems to be something with Ethernet. The last three lines refer to a usb wlan dongle. If i remove it it stops at intelmausi. I also removed AppleIntelSKLGraphicsFramebuffer.
  16. That you, checked it out, but it did not work. I gave the name nvme another chance and finally got it running under Sierra. But the DSDTs do not match anymore aren't they? The Sleep and brightness problem still remains. now I can't put it to sleep any more and can't switch back the screen, when it goes offline. I think that is the major issue. Brightness is acceptable this way if necessary. I don't have any clue, whats going wrong - tried a bunch of things. The behaviour is strange to me. I attached the current ACPI Files and problem reporting. origin.zip debug_24308.zip
  17. I noticed some other strange behaviour: If I close the lid and open it again, ofter the laptop went to sleep, it comes back from sleep and the brightness works. But it doesn't work properly before. And it doesn't come back if i put the display to sleep - only after complete sleep. anything i can do about that? attached: the current debug files debug_10302.zip
  18. Thanks, that is very kind of you. Here are the files: origin.zip
  19. Oh, thats indeed easy - did it with freeDos on a stick. So now I have current BIOS, but nothing is better now. Maybe I have to do my own DSDT Editing? Is it possible to do the dsdt patches with Clover? Which patches did you apply? (I hate DSDT patching)
  20. There where different packages in there. tried all of them - didn't change something for the better. Maybe I need a newer bios version. The System says i have 1.5.3. The Dell Web Page says current version is 1.17.5 is there any way i can upgrade without windows? Tried to test install windows on external drive, but that doesn't seem to be so easy.
  21. its 10.12.5 at the moment (was the current version when I created the install stick). Im not using NVMe drive - it is an SATA Drive. Shall I upgrade to 10.12.6 and test again? (I would upgrade any way).
  22. Ok, here someone confirmed that it works for specific models. It doesn't work on e7470 - i think that means, it doesn't work on e7270 either. https://superuser.com/questions/743040/will-a-sata-ssd-drive-work-in-wwan-minipcie-slot
  23. Sure - opened a new thread. Do you mean the drive in the wwan slot? I have no Windows installed. But I can check with an installer. In Linux it didn't show up. I think it is not recognized by the BIOS itself, so it won't show up anywhere else I guess. But I read some success on the Web for prior models (E7250 or so ...), so i hoped it would be possible.
  24. Finally gave up High Sierra and tried my luck with Sierra. It looks better, but Brightness and sleep do not work properly. Brightness Slider is there and keys work with karabiner. but ii can only switch between full brightness and no brightness (blank screen). If the screen goes black on energy saving it hardly comes back again. Debug Files attached. debug_10956.zip
