[Solved] Latitude 3400: unable to install Big Sur
davidfrei7as replied to davidfrei7as's topic in The Archive
@Jake Lo I disabled SSDT-PNLF.aml as you recommended and it is working fine, but I don't know how to customize the xhci usb port limit with the software you mentioned. I'm leaving my final EFI folder attached here. Everything is working perfectly (with the exception of wifi because my card is not compatible). Even in my latitude 3400, big sur is better than the catalina I had installed, mainly the trackpad gestures, because before they were not as accurate as now. @Jorge1964 I recommend you install BigSur with the EFI attached, I believe everything will work (unless your wifi card is not compatible too), I installed it more than once and it worked perfectly. I hope you get it! EFI.zip -

Thanks for answering! I'll follow your tip for brightness control. About wifi, I already knew that my card is not compatible. So I asked for help with brightness control only. @hervé I just checked that I have the SSDT-PNLF and SSDT-BRT6 injected. but the hotkey does not respond. Do you have any other tips? -
[Solved] Latitude 3400: unable to install Big Sur
davidfrei7as replied to davidfrei7as's topic in The Archive
I managed to solve the problem I mentioned above by formatting my disk in APFS format. I completed the installation successfully. I also solved the touchpad problem. But I was unable to activate the brightness control. So we have working: Intel Graphics UHD 620 HDMI with audio Display Port via USB-C Audio with sound control on hot keys Bluetooth Integrated Camera Integrated microphone Integrated keyboard Trackpad with gestures Ethernet All USB ports Does not work: brightness control by shortcut keys Wifi I will leave my EFI folder attached. If anyone can help me with the brightness control by the shortcut key I will be grateful. EFI.zip -
Hello guys! I'm trying to install BS on an external hard drive but I'm stuck in the following situation: I start the installation without any problems using the EFI folder provided by Tanya, then the notebook restarts and I select the option for the disk I'm installing macOS on to continue the process, however the machine restarts again instead of loading the codes on the screen, when it starts again it loads the codes and falls into the macOS Catalina installation screen. I already have Catalina installed on my main SSD. I thank anyone who can help me.

Hi guys! I tried the hackintosh on my Latitude 3400, but I was unsuccessful. I used the folders and files posted here, but I still had problems. The trackpad, audio did not work and some settings in the installation of the clover and in the completion of the SSDT file were different from the tutorial indicated here. I already researched a lot but unfortunately I still haven't got it. I really want to do this. If someone there was able to do the hackintosh successfully (I already know that the wifi will not work) could post your folder with the files, please ?!

Hi guys! I would like to know if the procedure for creating the installer can be done with a program other than clover. If I use another program to insert the files into the EFI folder on the flash drive, will it work? I'm using Windows 10.

I was doing a lot of research on how to install mac os on my latitude 3400 and saw that you were successful. I'm new to this and I don't know where to start. Could someone tell me a step by step how to install from the beginning and what files do I have to download. Thank you very much in advance!
