I Have a DW1703 that is AR3012. i found a way to make the VM method work for Catalina 10.15.4. its a hacky method that will break if you update unless you undo it before you take an update. this is a rough guideline. make Mac disk RW make EFI Visable remove/copy IOBluetoothFamily.kext from S/L/E Place IOBluetoothFamily.kext in C/K/O rebuild caches this part repeats everytime you boot: boot with IOBluetoothFamily.kext and its underlings disabled in clover proceed with vm method REBOOT (without turning off) back into mac os without disabling in clover EDIT= another less destructive way get setup to do vm method once vm is open go to bluetooth page in ubnutu in the add usb/bluetooth window of vmwarefusion spam the checkbox for your wireless device (will only disconect from mac for a second) untill you are able to turn device on and off using key combo Attatched is screenshot proof
