  1. Hi i installed Big Sur on my E5570 and it looks and runs great but two things are not working and that is HDMI Out and Wifi, i have no idea what i can change? can someone help on the right path? Intel Core i5-6300U Intel HD Graphics 520 1536Mb Wireless-AC 8260 EFI.zip
  2. I was cheering a bit to early , everything works fine except the HDMI audio, no output devices are given it doesnt seem to work from the MSI GT730 or the Intel HD530, , can you guys help me one last time? (can pay in Belgian beers ) I am preferring to use the GT730 because graphics seems smoother to me EFI.zip
  3. Thanks Jake Lo and Hervé, it was still not working, tried now with Big Sur and everything 4K is supported Many thanks again for the both of you setup_var 0xAF 0x0 setup_var 0x350 0x4 were correct changes in BIOS
  4. EFI.zip Appologies, did not know i could do it on the mac, i followed the guide in the FAQ "'Steps to change the DVMT value (Done on Windows or WinPE)" thats why i presumed it had to be done in windows. hereby is my efi part of the installation I noted down all the correct bios settings and did returned to default bios settings. Afterwards re-applied the correct ones but the USB gives me no boot anymore, i guess windows changed something while mounting it
  5. Hi Hervé, i did check them, setup_var 0xAF 0x0 For CFG lock and setup_var 0x350 0x4 for 128mb I think the error is more in the usb that use to boot into my monterey ssd. I changed the config file with above framebuffer-fbmem framebuffer-stolenmem but it is like the memory stick does not see a bootable drive afer editing in windows. when i use an old clover usb it is recognized (but not bootable) and i can ofcourse still boot of windows. the monterey usb does not, can i repair it or something? I think i did everything correct but maybe the mistake was mounting it in windows.
  6. Hi, i did all the steps below, with help from "Changing DVMT values in BIOS" @Jake Lo thanks for that i unplugged the osx ssd for that and did a quick windows install on another ssd. after that i changed: setup_var 0xAF 0x0 setup_var 0x350 0x4 After the changes, disable the following in config file framebuffer-fbmem framebuffer-stolenmem now i replugged the OSX ssd and the opencore usb, but i cannot seem to boot up anymore? no bootable device found? did i miss something? Kind regards kristof
  7. Ok thanks Jake Lo & Hervé @Jake Lo do you mean you have to do this using the Intel HD Graphics 530. kind regards
  8. Hi I'm having a bit of a pickle, I wanted to give my optiplex an upgrade to Monterey after buying a 4k screen and I had previously a perfect installation (even in 4k) with Catalina from JakeLo. Now with opencore and Monterey I shows only 2K resolution even with SwitchResX. with Catalina I used an hdmi and have now switched over to a display port because I thought that was the solution. is there anyone that can give me a tip or tell me what I can do? With Catalina I used the gt730 from MSI and now with Monterey Intel HD Graphics 530. do I need buy another graphics card or what can I do? its so strange that it would worked with Catalina my monitor is an Benq EW3280U in attachment is my config file Kind regads Optiplex_7040.zip
  9. Hi Hervé thanks for your swift response and help, i tried that without success, even more i also tried with another USB and bootpack on an optiplex 5060 and i get the same error. Even with HFS+ (Journaled). its strange
  10. Hi All, i am trying to install Catalina 15.14 on a 5570 and am successfull in reaching the installer window. i followed this guide from Jake Lo with latest clover and bootpack E7x70 because the specs are closest to the system i have. I also did the step in disk utility Boot with the USB installer, start Disk Utility and initialize your SSD as an APFS drive, name it "Catalina". But when i want to start the installation and open the installer log i get the error "Unable to get FS for volume" in the beginning and it stops with "disk is not convertible to APFS" i tried with two different ssd's and even with ons M2 disk all with the same error, does someone have an idea? regards
