  1. Hi!! I have a pretty strange issue. Most of times my touchpad works perfectly. But sometimes I need to restart my system because neither keyboard not touchpad work at all. So I checked out my console log and here's what I discovered : Here's a normal boot with touchpad & keyboard correctly detected : Here's a boot with touchpad & keyboard not working : It appears not to be detecting the touchpad randomly! Plus if you look closely at it, the "Detecting the touchpad" process is handled by "MacBook Pro kernel[0]" in a normal boot and just by "localhost kernel[0]" in a fail boot. I absolutely don't know what it means and how it could come from but I hope you do. Could anybody help me?!? If you need any additional info please contact me Thanks a bunch in advance!
  2. Ok guys!! I solved all the problems!! It was my version of AsusNBFnKeys that was old (v1.7.2) and was not working properly! But I strongly suggest you, either to include the AsusNBFnKeys as a plugin in ElanTouchpad.kext or to specify that you need to use an updated version of AsusNBFnKeys to make it work ok. You need to specify that these two kext are correlated in some way. It may seem obvious to you, but I'm pretty sure that many users didn't even know that they need to be both updated. At least this is what I think! Thank you again for this update and the very useful support! Cheers!!
  3. I believe that nothing is wrong with my DSDT since now the auto-off feature works ok as it should... But I think that someone should mention that you need to edit the AsusNBFnKeys.kext (The WMI plugin) to make it work properly, otherwise it will not work! What do you think?
  4. Of course I did!! I partially solved the problem! I had to modify some options in the AsusNBFnKeys.kext and now it works almost as it should! Except for the fact that the backlight level is the minimum one and if I try to set it to a higher level, it goes back to the minimum one the next time I type (after the backlights turn off). If you need a clearer explanation of the "issue" just ask! Thanks a bunch for this great update!!
  5. Ahaha!! Such a simple thing!! That worked very well my friend!! Thank you!! I didn't realize it was hex and so I put 31!! One problem is solved!! Anyone else experienced the auto off keyboard backlight bugs and/or would like the auto on feature as well??
  6. That's a great release!! The backlight auto off for the keyboard is just fantastic and the 5 fingers swipes very handy!! I just have some annotations to point out : 1)The auto off keyboard backlight option is still buggy for me (V4 hardware); it turns off at a random time (sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes never). Moreover it would be very handy if the backlight would automatically switch on as soon as I type again. 2)I have some problems with the gesture for going backward and forward with 3 fingers swipe. I tried to fix it on my own unsuccessfully; here's what it did : I changed the keyboard layout to 33 (Italian-spanish) and I enabled the "Use ISO layout" option in ApplePS2Controller.kext info.plist but unfortunately it still doesn't work. Thanks for the great job!!
  7. Thanks a bunch for your answer and your interest in this. Yes, indeed, I do have an ISO keyboard (Italy) layout and the keys combination to go back and forward are CMD [ and CMD ] for my keyboard. I've just sent you a PM. Thank you very much!!
  8. Sorry, I meant 3 fingers swipes…it would be nice to configure it in such a way to go back and forward on safari for example… However, I think I will wait for the release of the prefpane without having to reinstall the driver each time I change something in the plist... BTW I have an Asus N56VZ running OSX 10.8.5 and the hardware version should be V4... It works very very fine…these are intended just as refinements more than additional features, I repeat, the driver is simply outstanding and much much better than anything else on OSX world…very similar to my Magic Trackpad… Thank you!!
  9. I'm sorry for the double tap dragging…I haven't enabled the dragging option into the trackpad settings…it was my fault. As regards the left button dragging, it actually works…but once you click and start dragging it appears to be very slow and not just following the finger very well... Another thing I'd like to ask, is there any way to personalize the gesture commands (I mean deciding the real buttons, e.g. assign 2 fingers swiping left to CMD+[ )?? However I repeat, this driver is by far the best choice…and my annotations are just to improve the already great features implemented. A huge thanks again!!
  10. Thanks again for this fantastic update!! It works even better than before. However there's still an annoyance rather than a bug : left button dragging It works but not just as it should and as it does on windows. And another thing : Double tap dragging This feature is not present in my touchpad (V4) and there is no way to enable it from the plist. Other than these little things it is a very complete driver and simply awesome. The prefPane is the only thing that is missing to this project to make it more user friendly. Thank you very much again. Regards
  11. Really good stuff here!! My heartfelt thanks to the author... You finally made my touchpad quite similar to a real Macbook one... Thanks again!!
  12. Thank you very much!!! Waiting for the next version!! Regards!!
  13. That's exactly what I mean!! That feature that enables the dragging feature by long tapping a window. You called it something like : Tap drag : Tap and hold for one/two sec then move to dragI believe that it is very inconvenient and it is the only disadvantage of using your touchpad driver over the voodoops2 one. Please disable it or at least give us the opportunity to do so. Regards!
  14. Please EMlyDinEsH, Remove the long tap dragging option for the next release. Or at least give us the opportunity to remove it via plist file. It is very unconvenient to me. I find left click and dragging much more confortable. Thank you!
