Removed HDAenabler and tried your kexts and everything works but HDMI I wonder if any of my gfx drivers have to be edited? By the way i am using apple's stock nvidia drivers because they dont show the channel timeout glitch with our fermi cards. Ill keep trying it though...

Shouldn't the apple hda contain two seep rate devices? As the gtx 460m handles its own sound and has its own codec? Maybe I should add its device id into applehdacontroller kext? All the other DSDT patches I see are for intel hd 3000 which is easy since they share the same audio codec? I will try to see if Use HDMIAUDIO option would work in chameleon boot.plist.

you can't get HDMI with those quite old drivers 10.6.2 i suppose so, you need to use at least the AppleHDA from 10.8.3, and for the sleep IOAudio use the last one from EMlyDinEsH. I need some time to patch and correct your driver, the codec dump will help a lot, please as soon as you get it attach it here.

try the attached files I´m almost 100% sure this files with give you HDMI and full Working Sound, this files are based in your config, delete the HDAEnabler your won't need it anymore I had corrected the layout for sound inside your DSDT. Don't forget to correct permissions and update your kernel cache (sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel). This drivers are for 10.8.4 and also will work on 10.8.5.

I am using somebody else's applehda kext and everything works including ext. mic.

Is the codec dump necessary? Its no problem to retrieve if it is needed. Do you need my ioaudiofamily.kext as well? I think its from Snow leopard because the version is 1.7.9 but im not entirely sure? Maybe thats why HDMI doesnt work since SL did not support HDMI at that time?  I could be wrong but let me see what the professor thinks lol.

I need your current AppleHDA kext, it is all working?? Speakers, Headphone, internal and external Mic??? Where did you get this AppleHDA?? if you make by yourself I suppose you have the codec dump for your ALC 269 codec. Please share it here too.

I am using AppleHDA and HDAEnabler and a special IOAudioFamily kext to wake up the EAPD after sleep. Do you need an untouched AppleHDA? I am not really fond of using voodoohda because on my previous system, i would have sound lag and crackling. My LCD brightness keys work. For keyboard brightness i use RehabMan's method implemented with VoodooPS2.

I attached my current DSDT.aml and the same dsdt in dsl format.

I really appreciate it! SO if this is patched through dsdt, do i use stock ioaudiofamily or the same one i'm using? I would also like to see what you added to the dsdt so i can know what i was doing wrong.

Save the file, and if you are using the GraphicsEnabler=Yes inside your org.chameleon.Boot.plist file set it to GraphicsEnabler=No. This value will inject the values for you, but as I don´t have your hardware could always be the change to broke something so use it at your own risk. Restart your computer and try it, check inside display settings in system preferences for the brightness slide.

I have brightness working in my ASUS G74 after a year of work I recently find the answer. On Nvidia graphics all you need is inject the correct pwm-info and and some other values. I explain in details in the morning at work.

Oh nice! I cant wait to try your method! Ive completely given up on HDMI audio though  it shows up in about this mac as a device but audio is not routed through. Do you need help with your keyboard backlight though? Mine works perfectly

Hello there! I'm wondering if you where able to get your brightness control working yet Agustin? I've also noticed on my asus g73sw at the boot loader menu and even while the OS is loading, i can adjust brightness before the driver initilizes. I've even read the ACPI PDF and tried my own dsdt patches but I only get "bezel services assertion failed in console which I think means OSX cannot translate the brightness values over to ACPI methods? For the meanwhile i use the application shades. It applies a black (or any custom color) filter over the screen to adjust brightness and it can be used to somewhat help the brightness value reset after sleep. Also one question to EMlyDinEsH, if the brightness does work if you do find a way eventually, could the values be customized? Like being able to set a level below minimum? And will the "sun" bezel show up or is it the type where it just adjusts w/out OS? (Not that it matters lol)
