Glad I could help! Hows mission control treating you, kinda laggy no?
-
thanks
It works now
But it only shows 1.81 GHz Core 2 duo
And in fact is? 2GHz? If Yes! Go into the bios>Performance>Dynamic Acceleration and turn it off. Reboot and see if it changes anything.

Hey I use MacBook 3,1 as my D630 is almost an identical match to the MacBook 3,1. Thanks, keep me posted.

1280x800
The installation starts now using this dsdt.aml
But it freezes after a few minutes.
Is there any tutorial for the D630?
Well, Ok if this dsdt works for you. Follow my guide and use the dsdt you linked above. I just modified it a bit so u can install Lion with it.
Here.

Please can you help me?

Hey Chris,
I tried your DSDT on my D630. I saw that it had quite different Video implementation for the X3100 than the one I used in mine. And I thought, hey this might solve my lag in mission control, but unfortunately it didn't. So I think you are experiencing some lag in Mission control as well as I do. I am not talking about huge lag, just irritating enough Especially when you have more than 10 apps/windows open (you can see it's not very smooth) There are graphical glitches elsewhere as well, all over the place to be honest. Like when you resize windows, even sometimes in System Preferences. Tell me if you are experiencing the same. Thanks. I will attach my DSDT so you can try it. I think you might like it Don't forget to edit it for your screen resolution as I set the DualLink to 0x00 not 0x01.

It is very simple, you cannot boot 10.6.6 with D620SLV1.iso. Reinstall 10.6 and install chameleon instead.

Apple released Mac OSX Lion in the Mac App Store
I see you already have it installed
-
Install in /Extra/Extensions using Kext Wizard. Yes you need NullCPUPowerManagement.kext.
-
I don't get it? So you have a d630 with intel graphics connected to an external LCD display. Is that correct? U used our method to install OS X but u cannot see a picture on your internal screen? Correct me if I am wrong?
-
Ok. Enter the Bios menu and there it should say the maximum resolution.

Thanks Both
Devious approach worked up to the reboot. Starts with grey screen, apple logo. Then goes black and i can hear the apple startup. Second screen shows the apple aurora borealis but nothing else. Fn- f8 hoses the output - whic is repeated in a quarter pattern. So its a graphic problem, and keyboard also.
Tried setting graphicsmode=1024x768x32, but no change.
Close, cigar, no lighter.
Trying the 420 image now.....
Your screen resolution?

Just compiled it today. Lion Ready! Test and report if it works for you. Lion ONLY! 32/64bit.

Hi.
I've tried each of the options in EDP v1.9 as far as trackpad and keyboard kexts and am still without a working trackpad. It's very confusing as I have 10.6.7 installed using the same EDP version and everything works.
I've also not had success with sound using VoodooHDA 2.7.2 in /S/L/E or in Extras/Extensions - perhaps I should use the installer package instead of the Kext directly?
Thanks,
James
Try the installer. Remember to always Repair Permissions and Rebuild Kextcache using Kext Wizard.

May one of our DSDT pros have a look at this thread.
Its a generated DSDT and i dont think it will work ootb with SL.
Maybe someone can correct a little bit the DSDT.
Thanks
cheers

Hey Paolo,
I worked on your DSDT for D810 today. Your dsdt was a mess. Fixed it, should boot SL now.
A few remarks:
1. X600 won't work in Snow Leopard
2. Wifi too will not work.
3. Audio with VoodooHDA.kext
4. Ethernet with BCM5751.kext
Your best bet will be to follow this guide to create a USB bootable install flash. I attached a custom "Extra" folder for your installation flash. Copy the Extra I attached to your SL install flash. Install chameleon and you're done. Time to test if it boots. I also attach a separate DSDT.aml for your model just in case you wanna do some edits, or give it to someone else to do edits for you.
Good Luck!

I've successfully installed based on this method - so thanks for your help!
I have 2 issues -
1. Trackpad is not working, need to use USB mouse - keyboard is fine
2. Sound - I have no sound.
Is it safe to run EDP to change mouse driver and install VoodooHDA?
Trackpad is working for me with VoodooPS2.kext, you may try different keyboard/mouse kexts.
For the sound download VoodooHDA.kext version 2.7.2, put it in /S/L/E and repair permissions and rebuild kextcache using Kext Wizard.

I found nice working kext for D630 lan. It's supported 32/64 bit modes. I'm very happy now BCM5722D
Glad you found it. It is gonna be included in the 1,9 version of the EDP. I have been using it for a couple of weeks now. Very nice indeed.

Dazzler, hence Dassler, hence simeonoff, hence me... Yes, I will be glad to share my dsdt with you guys, it should work just fine with any D630 with Intel graphics, Try it an see if it suits your taste. It works with any version of SL 10.6.x (including 10.6.8) and of course Lion boots up just fine as well.
Few remarks and thoughts on how to get Lion roaring on your D630:
1. Create a bootable installation flash drive with Lion, by restoring from Base_System. (Simply follow this guide)
2. Follow the guide up to the point of just restoring the original files to the flash. Don't install the suggested Extra folder.
3 .Copy the Extra folder that I attached below to the root of your flash drive with Lion on it.
4. Run Kext Wizard -> Rebuild Kextcache and repair permissions of the /Extra folder that you just copied to your Lion installation flash.
5. Install chameleon to the flash. I recommend using revision 1095. Attached below as well.
6. Reboot, boot with the Flash, Install Lion.
7. After installation is done, boot into your SL or any other OS X partition, but Lion's.
8. Copy the "Extra" folder from the flash to the root of your newly installed Lion partition.
9. Repair /Extra using Kext Wizard.
10. Ok, before you reboot there is one thing you should know. Lion will not detect your KB (it will but the setup assistant will not). Two things you can do here to bypass the stupid Setup Assistant KB check. If you have a usb keyboard, attach that when asked for a keyboard by the Setup Assistant on first boot in Lion. If you don't have an external Keyboard go to /System/Library/CoreServices/Setup Assistant.app/Contents/ of you Lion partition and open the Info.plist and delete two strings <string>DeviceSelection</string> and <string>KeyboardTypeSelection</string>. Save the Info.plist. Aaaand that's it.
11. You are all set! Enjoy your new Lion setup.

Hey Daniel,
Some revisions of Chameleon (as the latest one 1140, you can find it in the "Bootloader" folder) support correct Vesa recognition of both GMA 950/X3100. So you can get native 1280x800 on boot GL!

We are well aware of the problem! We already have a solution. It's basically a dsdt fix. The solutions is going to be in the next EDP, we hope we will release it ASAP. Until then you can try and patch the problem yourself. Open your dsdt file and in the Device (PCI0) section replace _ADR with _UID. That's it.

I don't believe you Simply because it's not possible. Open more than 10 windows and see for yourself how it "doesn't" lag
