  1. So I did some searching around and found this thread (https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/10795-dell-latitude-e5450-high-sierra-updated-bootpack/#comment-82550) with a guy trying to install HS with what seem to be the exact same specs as my PC, higher resolution and everything. Jake provides an updated bootpack at the end of this thread (https://osxlatitude.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=18768) so I downloaded it and tried it but it brings to the same results, the same error screen as before. How can I narrow down the issue? What're some good troubleshooting steps to follow?
  2. How do I check the SMBIOS? Do I have to put the config.plist file into the Clover Configuration app? Yes I did it through UEFI, not Legacy. Sorry for lack of detail, still new to this and doing my best
  3. It didn't even bring me to the macOS installation screen, it brought me straight to this screen after showing the Apple logo. Maybe I should try booting again and seeing if it does the same thing or something different. If it does do the same thing again, what's the remedy? Yes, I updated my BIOS to A19, confirmed that it'd updated to it
  4. Okay, so I've come back with much more progress. I used this guide provided by an admin to install High Sierra (https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/8506-dell-latitude-inspiron-precision-vostro-xps-clover-guide/#comment-94956). Basically, whenever it mentions a MacOS version, I replaced it with High Sierra. All was working well, and it seemed like it was finally working out. Got into clover on the USB, picked the "boot to MacOS" option, and after a bit of waiting it brought me to a screen showing "macOS could not be installed on your computer" and now I'm unsure how to proceed. I followed the guide to the T, I even triple checked to make sure that i used the correct bootpacks with the EFI file and everything, which I did. So what am I missing? I used the 5450_HS_A19 bootpack, which matches my machine. However, this PC ships with a 720p screen, and I recently replaced the stock panel with a 1080p IPS panel, would that have something to do with it? If more detail is needed please let me know, but if someone could point me in the right direction that'd be great
  5. Hello. I'm attempting my first hackintosh, so I'm very much a noob at this and know little to none about it but I'm doing my best with the info I've found. First, I attempting using this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6SmFSjkEkY&t=1032s) in order to do a simple Clover install, but everytime I tried to boot to it it'd say that something was wrong with my config.plist file, and then the screen would go black after selection MacOS boot from Clover. I tried a couple different config.plist files and all gave the same results. I asked the Hackintosh subreddit for help and they just told me to use OpenCore. Dead end. Is there somewhere that i can grab a config file specifically for the E5450? Or an entire Clover file at that? And if not, how can I go about making one? *E5450 Specs* Core i5-5300U Intel HD 5500 Any help is appreciated
