    Just go into the proprietary section in additional drivers and install the STA from there. much easier with a GUI

    Okay guys, I got my SSD in the mail and I am going to completely re-do my system My system specs: Dell Latitude D830 Nvidia Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M 4 GB RAM 60 GB SSD-Primary bay 750 Hybrid SSD-Modular bay In my new installation, I am going to Tri-Boot Windows 8.1, Mcintosh OSX 10.9.3, and Ubuntu 14.04. Here are my questions for the forums: Which OS should I load onto the SSD? I am going to use each OS about the same ammount of time. Should I put a SWAP on the SSD or the secondary drive? Does Mac allow for manual TRIMming? Do I still need to use the D630 bootpack? Does the mouse finnally work after the install and EDP with no hassle? Any responses are greatly appreciated!

    In my personal experience, the MLPostFactor hack doesn't allow for good gaming on OS X. (Even lower than what it is already) I would recommend sticking with Lion unless you either use Mac for anything other than high-graphics such as video editing or gaming, or use Windows for that tomfoolery.     Never Windows 8. 7 also gave me the same message. I'm installing XP x64 anyways... So, do you have any way for me to fix this problem? Thanks for all of the help

    I can't find any MBR scripts for Mavericks. Herve, when I attempt Windows install with GUID, the installer won't let me... UEFI BIOS is required to install Windows on GUID. Any tips?

    I did use the MBR patch due to the fact that I want Windows. Have any tips for use with another distro? Just like kexts and settings I might use if I used a different distro?

    FML. Followed all of the steps you gave me, still installer crash after language selection. I've updated my post with the new log. BIOS settings all as you asked.

    10.9 Install.app creation. Letest MyHack. Dell Latitude D830 Nvidia NVS140M 4 GB RAM 750 GB Hybrid SSD GPT I made my installer USB and when I boot the USB, the thing goes through all of the verbose messages and when I should've gotten a installer GUI, the screen is just black and nothing appears for over 20 mintues. Any help is nice. ***EDIT*** Installer log from the D630 pack. LOG.txt New Log.txt

    In SL, the kexts for the GMA 950 and the Intel x3100 are 64 bit capable... Couldn't somebody potentially put one in ML and see what happens? EDIT: Got full resolution with the kexts, no QE/CI. I'm going to try to make that happen.
