  1. Yes it is definitely a d820. Where is the system report?
  2. Here is the exact output of the command: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/PM/GMS, 943/940GML and 945GT Express Memory Controller Hub [8086:27a0] (rev 03)00:01.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/PM/GMS, 943/940GML and 945GT Express PCI Express Root Port [8086:27a1] (rev 03) 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family High Definition Audio Controller [8086:27d8] (rev 01) 00:1c.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 1 [8086:27d0] (rev 01) 00:1c.1 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 2 [8086:27d2] (rev 01) 00:1c.2 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 3 [8086:27d4] (rev 01) 00:1c.3 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family PCI Express Port 4 [8086:27d6] (rev 01) 00:1d.0 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #1 [8086:27c8] (rev 01) 00:1d.1 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #2 [8086:27c9] (rev 01) 00:1d.2 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #3 [8086:27ca] (rev 01) 00:1d.3 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB UHCI Controller #4 [8086:27cb] (rev 01) 00:1d.7 USB controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family USB2 EHCI Controller [8086:27cc] (rev 01) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge [8086:2448] (rev e1) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Bridge [8086:27b9] (rev 01) 00:1f.2 IDE interface [0101]: Intel Corporation 82801GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) SATA Controller [IDE mode] [8086:27c4] (rev 01) 00:1f.3 SMBus [0c05]: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family SMBus Controller [8086:27da] (rev 01) 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: NVIDIA Corporation G72M [Quadro NVS 110M/GeForce Go 7300] [10de:01d7] (rev a1) 03:01.0 CardBus bridge [0607]: O2 Micro, Inc. 3. Ok, so I copied the kext and ran myfix and it was on the kextcache part, and I left to do something. I came back and nothing will respond- my cursor is now the spinning beach ball of death. Is it safe to just leave it there overnight or should I take the battery out? I'm not so sure about taking the battery out because it looked like myhack was re installing important stuff.
  4. I apologize again for my extreme noob factor, but where would I look to find this kext?
  5. I must have done something wrong- it puts out "Cannot find any working access method." I'm not sure what this means- but it is definitely working because I'm posting from it right now.
  6. I apologize, I'm not very familiar with wifi terminology- what do you mean by "lspci details" ?
  7. Good news! I purchased the usb wifi adapter in my previous post and it worked after I installed the driver- I now have full wifi access!
  8. Is there one of these that supports both windows and mac osx? (I boot windows from the primary hard drive, and then sometimes boot snow leopard with an adapter that goes inside where the cd drive usually resides)
  9. If I were to buy something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Edimax-EW-7811Un-Wireless-Adapter-Wizard/dp/B003MTTJOY/ref=pd_sim_e_4 Would this get a working wifi connection?
  10. I used version 3.1.2. Should I try and install it again?
  11. My mistake, I meant 10.6.3. I was pretty sure I followed the post-install instructions exactly, although I guess I didn't. If it is of any significance, I created the myhack usb installer with an older version of myhack, as the newest wouldn't open correctly. Is there any way to correct this?
  12. Hello OSXLatitude community! I just recently used the install guide to install mac osx 6.3.3 on my dell latitude d820. I followed all the instructions and got it intsalled fine. I followed the post-install instructions and set up edp. Ethernet worked fine and downloaded everything fine. I then shut down the computer. Upon turning it on the next day, ethernet didn't work. Wireless also doesn't work, (although it didn't work after edp either). Can anyone help? Is there a missing driver I can install or something?
