  1. No, I don't. I guess the problem is with your graphic card... :/ Maybe Conti can help you.
  2. Hi gorg! Welcome to RIIG Club! hahaha Here is my Extra folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?gpkb8khsatotmjk Help yourself! By the way, I'm under Mountain Lion 10.8. (Sleep may also depend on your Graphics Card...) Cheers! PS: I'm very sorry that Nick has gone. :/
  3. No. They've not answered my e-mail yet. :/ Maybe Conti might help us...
  4. Thanks! Now, enabled! 1) IOREG.zip file with only P and CStates as initially. 2) IOREG_With_Drop_P_CState.zip 3) IOREG_Without_Drop_P_CStates.zip https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?ci ... 74C25C!135 Cheers!
  5. Well, here we go: First, I've noticed something strange: Before I changed things to run IOReg Explorer again, I ran it as a test to see if I could save a file. At this point, only P and CStates were set (no Drop) as initially. Remember that ioreg had only two entries? At this this, I got all entries. So we have: 1) IOREG.zip file with only P and CStates as initially. 2) IOREG_With_Drop_P_CState.zip 3) IOREG_Without_Drop_P_CStates.zip Ps: I wasn't able to attach. They are all larger than 2 Mb. What can I do? Cheers!
  6. OMG, I didn't pay attention to that! Sorry. I'm gonna do it all again! =)
  7. Unfortunately, not. With. 8. Where can I find Chameleon's boot log? BTW, why Chameleon doesn't have a graphical interface during boot?
  9. =O Really?! So what do you think about downgrading my bios to 1405 and reflashing 1701 (only to test if one of these two procedures solves my problem)? I've sent Asus Support an e-mail asking about C-State and about my temps problems. dgsga should have given it to you, once it is a part of the motherboard he has sold!!! Maybe, you're right. I don't know either! hahaha Yes, they are similar but they are still too high. I want them like yours (38ºC - 42ºC), that's why I've sent Asus an e-mail. \o/ Concerning the cooler, I guess removing and re-mountig it wouldn't work because it is not a recent problem. :/ Also, I'm afraid of doing this too... hahahah (that's why I myself haven't changed thermal paste!) :/ THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!!!
  10. I guess it's because we have different revisions (1405 and 1701). I'll check it with Asus Support later. Removed. Everything is fine. Thanks for warning me! Ok. Done. My pic is attached. I've noticed that my LCD Poster (do you still have yours?) shows me one temperature (62ºC) and HWMonitor shows me another (68ºC - higher!) - by the way with P and CStates set back into org.chameleon.boot.plist. (Sorry, but I had to change it again in order for the temperature not getting stuck on 83ºC). Well, I've tried once again to download more developer tools, this time entering my free Apple ID. But it was necessary to answer a query in order to mach it with Apple's developer area website. So, I decided not to go ahead. Sorry, I really don't want to match my free Apple ID with Developer Site. I'm not a developer and I'm afraid to do this! hahaha So, if you don't mind attaching the correct app so that I can check my P-State, please do it. Otherwise, let's forget about checking it. :/ I am very thankful for your help and attention, Nick! Cheers!
  11. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> EthernetBuiltIn Yes GraphicsEnabler Yes Kernel mach_kernel Legacy Logo Yes Timeout 2 I'm very very sorry Nick, but I realized that I've confused SpeedStep Tech with C-State Tech. By the way, this last one isn't even in my BIOS. :/ You can check it right below: Where should I put this entry? org.chameleon.boot.plist? Hey! I can't download "more developer tools"! I'm not a developer, i'm not registered as a developer... I would have to pay for it... $ 99... am I wrong? Done. Thanks! Cheers!
  12. Hey, Nick. I don't have Apple's Developer Tools, do I? How can I get it? Is it free? Other questions: Is it necessary an antivirus solution? Which one do you suggest? / The Lion firewall is disabled by default. Should I enable it? Thanks, Nick! And sorry for disturbing you so much! :/ Cheers!
  13. Hi, Josh! You're wellcome! =) I've not experienced such problems (in this case, maybe I'm as lucky as Nick! hahaha), so I have no idea about what the solution might be. :/ Have you installed Lion using MyHack methods? If no, try it! =) By the way, what's your bios version? Cheers!
  14. No problem. I'll wait. The airflow is ok. Anything is stuck. I've disabled and enabled C-State Tech in order to check if C6 set would appear. But it hasn't. It might be a set not found in BIOS 1701. This is my guess. It's not necessary to post a photo of your screen. Thanks! =) Ok, I'm gonna work on it. Thank you very much, Nick! EDIT 2: I've got 1.39f5, but I was not able to set TjMax as Prasy has suggested! Cheers!
  15. Sorry, Ross. But I'm not such a person to help you from now on... :/ I don't have so much skills about editing a dsdt and I don't even know anything about Mountain Lion. I guess Conti can help you more effectively! Cheers!
  16. Thank you so much, Nick! My audio is enabled now, except my mic though it worked before with those extra kexts. =/ By the way, I'm now on 10.7.4, thanks Conti!!! =DDDDD NO, I'm not happy. I'm afraid of damaging my buddy i7... :/ Ambient temperature here is around 20ºC, believe it or not! Unfortunately, I didn't find in my BIOS the correct place to set C6 limit. It's not in the same key settings as C-State Tech! I've removed Null...kext!!! No problems at all! \o/ I've installed OrangeIconFix.kext!!! hahaha Nice! Nick, what do you intend to do with those dumps from DarwinDumper? Cheers!
  17. I'm sure I've failed in patching AppleHDA.kext. I don't even know to say where it went wrong. I only remember terminal warning me about something non existence. :/ I guess it would be better for me you attach your already patched kext. Yes, my intel stock cooler is fitted correctly. By the way, thermal paste has been replaced by a technical support recently (27 days ago). In Windows 7, temperatures get around 60-65ºC (I guess it's also very hot!!!) I suspect my i7 is overclocked but I've never done anything in such direction and I've never noticed any different set in my BIOS. =((( C-State Tech is already enabled. I'm gonna set this C6 limit! \o/ Is there any way to know if AppleLPC is correctly loaded? I didn't understand what you said about SRGB and LPCB. But don't worry. I'm gonna replace my dsdt with yours (and remove those extra audio kexts) to see if things go better! <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> SMbiosdate 01/22/10 SMbiosvendor Apple Computer, Inc. SMproductname MacPro4,1 SMserial CK0087654PC SMsystemversion 1.0 DARWIN DUMPER SCRIPTS ATTACHED!!! =) If it is cosmetic, I'm not gonna install such kext. Thanks a lot. But it seems it can be fixed by dsdt patching. Haven't you heard anything about that? I've already seen this, but it is in .dsl and I needed it to be in .aml so that I could install it. But don't worry, I already know how to proceed! \o/ You're right but don't you agree that it is extremely difficult for a noob to understand programming languages? And many times they are the best way... Buying a real Mac is barrier. They are very very expensive, specially here in Brazil! hahaha Thank you so much, BlackOSX!!! (By the way, what's your real name? I've read your presentation topic, but you haven't told us it!) Cheers!!! Unknown_Darwin Mac-Pro-de-Leonardo.local 11.3.0 x86_64.zip
  18. Hi blackosx! I'm very thankful for your support! =) Well, I patched my dsdt as you suggested, but concerning the audio, only patched AppleHDA.kext didn't work. So I remembered that I've already read this ( viewtopic.php?f=8&t=335&p=989#p989 ) and decided also installing those extra kexts. It worked! =) Do you know any patch for our i7 920 speedstep? What about hd orange icons? How much temperature does your cpu reach? Mine reaches 84ºC in idle mode sometimes. I'm very worried. Energy management seems not to work for me. =/ Could you please kindly attach your dsdt.AML in order for me to compare with mine? Please, answer all my questions if you can!!! (I'm desperate. hahaha) Cheers!
  19. Hi blackosx So how can I patch using your .dsl file? Could you help me please? What about my sound? (PS: It seems that SubStandard is not interested in posting here anymore. :/)
  20. Hi, Ross! Well, to start you need to follow this tutorial ( viewtopic.php?f=7&t=13 ) in order to get information about your hardware. To do so, you can get Linux Ubuntu 10.04 (as recquired in the tutorial) from here http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases ... so.torrent (torrent file) or from here http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases ... p-i386.iso (direct link). Cheers!
  21. Well, I finally got my dumps with Polishox's tutorial. (Thanks for your suggestion, blackosx!) The problem is that I found it a little bit complex for my english level. I got confused when I compared my dsdt.dsl with blackosx's posted right above. I was not exactly right about what to change and a about what to keep. So, I decided to attach my Rampage_II_GENE.zip file in order for someone to help with my dsdt editing. (I'm not even sure if I've compared the right file because there are lots of files inside this folder). Please, help me. What I am intended to: - Native Energy Management - Patch my sound and other things you might suggest in order for using a minimum number of kexts and modifications as possible - Fix orange drive icons - Get boot, restart and shutdown faster Cheers! Rampage_II_GENE.zip
  22. Hi, Dan! Thank God, I found you! hahahah I have exactly the same MB and CPU as you. I extracted my dstd using dsdt editor and I patched it using the .txt file from Olarila, as you did. Could you please tell me some things? How can I patch my sound in order for not needing Voodoo kext? Does your CPU heat? Mine sometimes reaches 84ºC... Cheers! =)
  23. Hello, everybody!! My name is Leonardo and I'm from Brasilia (Brazil) and I live in Brazil. There is approximately one month that I have built my hackint0sh, that is, I'm completely new to it. My experiences in hackint0shing are summarized in searching for many different informations in many different fora in order to make my installation. Very few knowledge about hackintoshing. My curiosity about a new OS, the so-called installation process in a non-Apple hardware difficulty and the so-called virus proof system are basically what triggered my interest in hackint0sh. My general computer skills are above the average, but they are very few. I only know how to install Windows, Linux and now Mac OS (only in my machine hahaha). I have no special talent. I hope you accept me despite my poor English! Cheers!
