  1. No idea whats going on but the past month my kernel_task has been eating up tons of ram and cpu usage. I've tried freeing up ram with Memory Clean, doing a sudo purge, and nothing seems to help so far. My specs: - Clover install (revision 3176) of Yosemite (10.10.3) - Intel Core i7 3770K 3.5GHz LGA 1155 - OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular ATX Power Supply - Crucial m4 CT256M4SSD2 256GB SATA 6.0Gb/s SSD - Two Seagate 2TB HDD's - Corsair XMS3 Series 16GB DDR3-1333MHz - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Motherboard - SAPPHIRE AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 - Antec Three Hundred Two ATX Mid Tower If there is more info needed to help, just explain to me how to get it and I will do so. Would appreciate any help possible.
  2. Figured it out and it definitely was a headache. Long story short, some how in my bios sata got switch to IDE. Switched it back and everything is back to normal.
  3. So last week my hackintosh stopped working. It would get to the grey screen and the wheel would just spin till a small circle with a slash through it would show up above the apple logo. I tried my install usb and still the same result. Any ideas? Everything was up to date: myhack, chameleon... just kind of stuck on this one. specs: gigabyte z77-ds3h intel i5 radeon 6870 8 gigs ram again, everything had been working great for months till now.
  4. make sure Chameleon is update, instal FileNVRAM.dylib into Modules folder in extras (you have to make the folder). run myfix, restart. if it still is giving you an error try changing youre apple id password.
  5. - Hey myHack community!!! - I am a filmmaker from Los Angeles. I have fairly moderate skills with computers and building since my first PC build back in 2000. The more I began to edit the more I started leaning towards Mac (and because I was tired of viruses and bugs with windows). Once I bought a MAcBook I was definitely hooked, so I knew I had to get a desktop and I built my first Hackintosh 2 years ago and it was a great experience. I used a build list from a friend (which pretty much was from crackwalk) so didnt really have too many issues getting it up and running, but Im still pretty novice when it comes to Hackintosh and Mac programing/sudo/terminal since i mostly focus on just work and it becomes very time consuming, but i do want to learn more. I was a little more ambitious with my new build (and got some really good deals on components so I went for it). I look forward to learning with this build and especially getting it up running. Here are my specs so far if anyone wants to jump in and throw some incite my way =) Specs: -Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H -Intel i7 3770k -Corsair 16gb Ram (2x8gb) -Crucial m4 256gb SSD -Seagate 2tb HDD -AMD ATI Radeon HD 7770 -OCZ 600w ModXstream pro PSU -Samsung BD-R -Mac OSX Mountain Lion
