  1. I have the same problem on my E7240. The HDMI port is working fine but when i try to use the DP the system restarts. I followed the the same guide as exdiru. All i have dicovered is that changing ig-platform-id in the DSDT.aml changes the behaviour. I had a config with working but distorted DP which only used the same resolutiohn as my internal screen. The Bootpack for Dell E7440 configures the ig-platform-id. This blocks any changes from config.plist. I don't know enough about dsdt patching for intel-graphics to patch the dsdt.aml myself. Al i was able was playing which ig-platform-id. I will try different values, but i need the notebook an have not as much time as i like to solve this problem.
  2. Nicely done, will this work on an e7240 with a 1366x768 display?
  3. @Zeppo: I think your Card is still in Installation Mode. You are seeing the USB disc with your drivers. Eject the Volume and your Device should be in "Modem mode". As far as I've read the Watcher Software should be able to swich this. Why is everybody looking for the mc8781 all information i have seen says mc8781 and mc8780 are the same with the exception of gsm frequenzy optimization. mc8781 sould be (north) America and mc8780 should be the european version. So in Poland and Germany I would think the mc8780 is the right choice.
  4. No Problem: Unpack this and put it in "/Library/Keyboard Layouts" so you can use it as Input Source ("Eingabequelle" in German) in your Language Preferences-pane ("Sprache &Text"). I had to zip it, because the forum-software wouldn't let me upload an ascii xml file with the extension keylayout CU Harald D430.keylayout.zip
  5. For those of you who are annoyed by the difference between your keyboard layout and the Symbols on your keycaps, it is possible to make a keymap that mathces the layout printed on your keyboard aka PC/Windows Layout. Try Ukelele http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?site_id=nrsi&id=ukelele you can create your own keymap and match all the special charactes to any key. I made one for my previous hackintosh (Sorry my wife's ), a Lenovo Ideapad s10 and one for my (daughter's) D430 both with german layout matching the keys. e.g. ALT/AltGR Q gives you @, this makes it so much easier to find the charactes you need. Use one of the included layouts for start and modify it according to your needs.
